How to remove the back of a lcd flat-panel tv
Carefully is the main thing. Most have to be correctly laid face down on a padded surface to remove the cover--any downward force or pressure on the front screen and set can be instantly destroyed. You want it so when face down entire frame around the screen is supported with NO weight on the actual glass of the screen. In this position it is usually just removal of screws--a base if mounted also usually has to come off the set to get the back off. What is issue in set that makes you want to open it, what are you wanting to do?
Principle of lcd
Liquid Crystal Display - LCDThere is a Flo recent light that shines behind the screen. This light is what passes through the window or LCD when the shades are open or partly opened.Think of each colored individual LCD (pixel) as a Window Shade. You have pixels that are made up of 1-red, 1- green and 1-blue light shade. Your main control board will tell each light shade how much/far to open each colored light shade so it will make the color it needs to. If the shades are closed (black) if the shades are all open (white)Hope this helps.
Sony 40" LCD no sound
If you have a simple knowledge regarding soldering and resoldering then resolder the audio area. It might have a loose connection going to ouput audio. thanks.
Strip of screen is white
How big is the strip? If it is 2 or 4 inches wide, then your panel is bad. If it is half of the screen then you could just have a loose connector or a bad t con board.
Sony bravia lcd
Sounds like a possible T-con board failure. Which would need to be done by experienced tv repairman
I have vertical colored lines on the right side of my 40
HelloTheere are two possibilites for this fault. If the power comes to the Timing Control Board [T'Con Board] is not smoothed well, that is, if the filter capacitor used to smooth this supply voltage has deteriated in capacitance value, the fault you descibes here may occur. Check this capacitor first. if it is OK, the fault is with the Timing control board itself. It is an irreparable board, and should be replaced as card basis. This board can be bought from the authorised service center for Soney at your town, and will cost around $30.This is the picture of the power regulator board to your tv. Just replace the two large capacitors and four medium size capacitors on it. In most cases this must solve the problem. OK.
