Hi you will need to reset your Tv & remote sounds like that children may have played with the remote reset should clear the problem.

If your tv is after year 2000 you will be ok,is your arial for digital? if so then your digital box will work, do you have a scart lead this is your best connection type.

First thing check the plug fuse is not blown,also some times the switch sticks when you push botton does it click if not a new one will need to be got, if switch is ok then you or some one will need to open the back in side were the mains cable goes in you should see a small fuse this shuld be re placed with another anouther one with same size fuse.i hope does the trick all the best Alan

I had the same problem. My DVD player was connected to my HD TV via a HDMI cable as was recommended by the DVD owner's manual. I removed the HDMI cable and attached the three video component cables. Bingo, closed caption crossed immediately.
