Make sure that your patch cables are cumming from the audio line OUT of the TV to the audio line IN on the surround amp. A common mistake on hook up is usually the problem.

Thank you. I did solve my problem with some diligence. The instructions from Verizon were correct. I realized that there are two buttons on the Verizon universal remote that look alike - the "play" arrow and the "fast forward" double arrow. Once I used both of these buttons in the proper sequence, reprogramming the TV remote with the new code worked.

It appears to be a 32 inch. Some questions: Does power light come on and if so what color when set is off? Were you having any problem before where you had to turn set on several times to get it to come on and stay on? I am here to help you.

All you need to do is use a composite cable, or known as RCA cable (the red, white, and yellow cable). Both ends of the cable should have red, white and yellow. You just need to find the red, white, and yellow on the back of the dvd/vcr where it says audio/video out (AV out). Then match the colors and plug one end to the back of the dvd/vcr and the other then (matching the colors) to the Proscan tv where it says audio/video in (AV in). Good luck.

Hi, maybe the TV control processor hung up or its memory is corrupted, disconnecting TV from outlet for 30 seconds and reconnecting it may clear this condition. If not, the TV has a hardware failure and needs to be repaired.

A common problem for these is bad capacitors in the power supply, Remove the back from your Tv and look at the power supply on the left hand side.

You will see roughly around 9 x capacitors that are bulged / domed shaped on top usually these are valued at 3300uf 10V any that have bulged or leaked a brown like substance should be changed.
This will cure the problem as they overheat being sat next to a heatsink that gets very hot!
Try and change them for the same 3300uf but a higher voltage.

If you want to have your PC connect to your TV so that your video will appear on the TV you do not need a driver to do that. You have to make sure that your PC has some kind of a video output port, and that you will be able to connect it to some type of a video input on your TV. Your Proscan has Component Video, HDMI, as well as S-Video inputs. Chances are if your PC has been made in the last few years, you will have some type of output that will work with one of these inputs. If you don't have your PC manual handy just let me know what type of PC you have. I will need the manufacturers name, as well as the model number. If it is a home built machine, I just need to know what kind of video card you have, and I can then advise you as to what type of cable you will need.

There are 6 screws on back of the TV in line with the column for the stand. Remove these and the stand should slide out of the bottom. Some models may have in addition a plastic tab that locks it in place.
