Windows7 does have set program

If you have the Key the Windows seven product key on the sticker, on the computer, you can lagally DOWNLOAD windows. I think it started just THIS year. Windows XP and older versions don\'t work the same way so you couldn\'t do it before and still can\'t for XP, Win98, Windows ME etc. But Win7 and Win8 are different, if you try to let some one use your license numeber they will hunt you down and find you, and make your life a living hell. Your online experience will never be the same, video\'s won\'t play, facebook won\'t load and you computer will run slower and slower and slower until it is dead. But if you have your own legal Product Registration Key (to a windows of hell, identity theft, piracy, virus\'s and worms, junk mail, credit card fraud, online scams, pornography, and that\'s just to name a few) you can down load a perfect copy of windows all legal from Softpedia, safe and legal. You will need someone to help unless you have another computer at home. You also need a blank recordable DVD-R, and some one with Nero, or another good DVD burning software that will burn the ISO image exactly onto the DVD the way it should copied. An IOS is the same as it WOULD look on a DVD, but when it\'s on your hard drive you Cannot read it. Then put the disc in your computer and re-install Windows. Some guys won a lawsuit or something, about this very thing, that\'s why you can now get the disc you need without a lot of trouble.

Hi. i have a maxtor basics 1.5tb. besides the well

What has happened is that the default program for looking at your pics is either not working or not being turned on when you click on the pics. But when you click on Picasa and activate that program the pictures are seen. It is not the drive - you have a software issue. Ugh. Try installing VLC media player software. It works with everything - see what happens.

Maxtor basics 500GB external hard drive not working

Every time you turn your computer on it is going to "spin up" and the light is going to come on. Just because the light goes out and it idles so that you can't hear it anymore doesn't mean it isn't still on. It is. You can verify this by using windows explorer to view it and its files.

The green light is flushing

click start control panel administrive tools ,computer management ,device manager look through all of your devices if you see a yellow question mark?or exclamation mark ! or red xright click to reinstall drivers or if you can see your usb but its not workingports(com&lpt)right click update driver sometimes the wires inside the cable will be damaged due to bending or stretching or placing heavy equipment upon the cable, just replace the cable of the hard disk, when you plugged the external disk drive you got that windows could recognize the USB device change the cable everything should work fine again,

check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red-white-green-black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems also make sure the computers Ram and Cmos battery are securely seatedif this fails to fix the problem you might have to install a usb 2 or 3 card they are cheap and easy to install you can buy these on Ebay very cheap hope this helps

My hd maxtor basics 1T

If the hard drive fails to it may be because the usb port is not giving sufficient power to boot.
You should try to plug the hard disk with the usb cable and with the power cable to electric power. This could give the hard drive sufficient power to boot

I formatted my Maxtor Basics

There's a Windows limit to how much you can format with a Fat32, and that's 128GB (1024bytes=1KB system) or as nowadays system measure them as 1000bytes=1KB... anyways.
You can use Easeus Partition Manager home, it's great for all kinds of cool stuff like partition recovery.
It's fairly simple and the program is quite graphical so you wont need any explanation, just follow the process, it's really simple.
However, there's a reason why it's not recomended to have large FAT32 partitions: instability, large volume information section, limit of max. 4GB file size... On the other hand the plus is that it can be read on PC, MAC, PS3...heck, maybe even a gadget-ready microwave. So you'll have to weight out the pros and cons. If you only use a PC and most of your friends are PC fans, then I'd suggest that you go with NTFS. It's stable (like server stable), no limitation to file size, relatively small footprint of the file allocation table, smaller sector size (which means there won't be too much slack space) and so on.

If this was informative and helpful please vote with a Thumb Up. Thank you.

I need to hook my external hardrive up to my Mac

In general, external disk-drives have one USB cable, running from the unit to any USB port on your computer. The smaller external enclosures have a "laptop" disk-drive inside, which draws electrical power through the USB cable. The larger external enclosures have a "desktop" disk-drive inside, and requires an external AC 110V adapter, which connects to a power-jack on the enclosure.
