The error indicates an ink stick was jammed. You have to clear the ISC (ink stick count) error.

Turn off the printer.
Turn on the printer.
As soon as you see XEROX start moving across the display hold down the back and help buttons until you see "beginning service mode" on the display.
Release the buttons, it will now come up in the service mode.
Scroll down to the function menu, hit ok, scoll to clear isc faault, hit ok.
Hit the back button to get back to the first menu then exit diagnostics, hit ok when it asks if you want to restart in customer mode.

My 8560dn showed that message - it was not a heater or anything weird. I removed the waste tray; emptied it and re inserted - and rebooted the printer. it spent quite a while cleaning - but it prints fine now. the waste tray was 'stuck'. To remove, I first removed the maint kit and then with a flashlight shined inside, saw there was a lever on the right side which, when I moved it, released the waste tray. Voila - road to success (and no service call). Have a spare set of ink on hand as it uses a bunch going through the cleaning process. This turned a useless paperweight back into a productive member of my office society.

This is a wiper error. There is a wiper blade that cleans off the printhead and it is stalled. There might be something obstructing the blade itself ,wiper on the wiper belt incorrectly or a motor is having problems. I would recommend calling a certified service tech to fix it.

Is not a simple job, but also is not something from another world. You can do this with the right tools and a little bit of patience.

hi i think buying a new one might be a bit drastic, this could be a couple of things, mainly is the toner supply try to the heated drum putting out enough ? is it blocked at one end? ( ie the end that has the faint print ) is the heated drum defective? this would be a major repair, but i think it will still e cheaper than getting an equivalent printer of this type, although there are now allot of very reasonable printers on the market, but it defiantly sound more like the supply of toner to the drum it might be worth the investigation, all you might need to do if purchase some white spirit to clean the toner supply tray out...hope this helps

That's a ink loader error, due to the 8200 ink stick; to fix it:

- Power down the printer.
- Hold the back button and the info button at the same time, without letting go, power up the printer.
- Keep holding down the buttons until the XEROX logo comes fully to the center of the screen, keep holding for 2 more seconds, then let go. I'll take about a minute or two for the Diagnostic screen to come up, the display will turn blank and black.
- When the Diagnostic screen comes up go to down to the Function or Exercise option, there will be an option that says "clear ISC faults" it'll ask you to press OK to confirm, after you do then you will exit Diagnostics and the printer will reboot.
It should be fine until it happens again. Until all the 8200 ink is gone you will probably be doing this a few more times. Also make sure the 8200 ink is not jammed inside the ink loader, if it is then you have to un-jam it some how.
