Behringer EUROPOWER EP2500 Amplifier - Page 7 Questions & Answers
3 8 ohm speakers 1 stereo amp 2channel a 1 channel b will this do dammage
If you only have 3 (8 Ohm) Speakers and want to hook them all up, you will need to balance the impedance of the sides or you will be too loud on one side and not loud enough on the other. This will cause your amp to work harder on one side. (Not Good)
I did not see the speaker A and B in the instruction manual.
Because of that, I will state the following.
I would not recommend that you hook up anything that is unbalanced. I would use just a pair in two channel mode (This would give you an 8 Ohm load on each output). The manufacture recommends a 4 Ohm load for the best output of this amp. But the most important thing to remember is that your speakers must be able to handle this much power or the speakers will be permanently damaged.
This amp has Protection to cover: Full short circuits, Open Circuits, Thermal and HF protection, and stable into reactive or mismatched loads.
You could hook up all three speakers and the amp will work, but, I would not recommend that type of hook-up.
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

Frozen/welded power on/off switch
Sorry your amplifier has and internal short and can only be repaired by a repair shop if its cost worthy. Putting a bigger switch will only provide more current to the source resulting in the same thing or a fire from the feedback of current creating heat at the weakest point in the circuit

Have Beringer Europower PMH 1000
The clicking could be the protection relays kicking in and out.
Check your speaker cables for short circuits.
Also make sure that the load you are applying to it does not go below the minimum impedance which i believe is 4ohms on this unit.

Blown tweeter
Remove the front grille, and speakers are accessed easily. Stick a little hook tool in the mesh, and give a tug. It is press-fit so dont try to pansy it!

Humming sound
try unplugging cables from the inputs, one by one and see if the hum stops. If it does its a ground loop, if don't it could be a leaky filter capacitor in the power supply

Behringer EP2500 no output on CHANNEL 1
check all op amps for correct voltage swing +-should be equal, test output of op amps no voltage should be present, use chasis gnd as tester neg.check voltage regulation especially 12v or 15v +-.note some amps show unequal led indications when only 1 channel connected to a load.I will try to get some more info on this specific amp because i don't know this circuit well, keep in touch as you update though.

Amp keeps blowing speakers
If the amp blew the speakers , it sounds like the amp pumped HIGH levels of DC voltage into the speakers.
Get another amp and not Behringer, not Pyle, not Gemsound and not Numark.

Power problem
If you bought it brand new and is only 6 months old, I would suggest to contact the manufacturers to get repaired under warranty since most electronics devices carry one year warranty.
Good Luck.

Proper mode settings
Hi bongodboss
The user manual for this amp has good instruction on how to connect it. You can download a copy from
here.Page 9 has info about using the amp for "bi-amping" The amp is only a stereo unit, so to do a 3-way system, you will need at least 1 amp mono in bridge mode for lows, and other stereo amp for mods, and another stereo amp for highs. You could use the internal low pass filter for the bottom end, and a 2 way crossover for the mids and highs. Much simpler doing a 2 way system with composite bins for mids and highs, and subs for lows. You only need the 2 amps and use the low and high pass filters inside the EP2500. If you need anymore help on this, I am happy to talk to you more.
