A dvd of mine got lost in the dvd player and i was

I get this problem all the time with having kids and all... All you have to do is unplug your dvd player, and take apart the housing to the player... Do not mess with the face of the player, just leave it in place... After this you should be able to retreive your dvd, and save your dvd player...

Brand new phillips hd dvd player, door will not open

First of all check that there's no "travel lock" wedge or safety catch anywhere; some players will be so equipped for transport, and you won't be able to open it until the wedge has been removed or unscrewed.

Assuming this is not the case, a defect must be contemplated. If the device is brand new, I'd bring it back to the shop and get another.

Otherwise, there should be a tiny hole in the front, near the eject button. Place an opened paperclip inside, and push against the resistance. The internal lock override will allow the tray to be manually ejected.

If afterwards the device works, the tray was just jammed - it happens. Nothing to worry about.

If it continues to not operate properly, e.g. it won't close, or once closed, it won't open again, the tray drive is probably defective. Even if it's only out of kilter, it's not worth it to try to repair it - just bring it back.

We have a vcr/dvd, model dvp620vr/07, we are

What program or software are you using to make the DVD? The DVD must be "finalized" before it can be read on an external device, such as a VCR/DVD player. PC's however, can handle the un-finalized (is that a word?) discs because it assumes you may want to add more files (pictures). Once the disc is finalized, no more files can be added to it.

Changing region codes dvd

To change the Region code on your player, open Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device manager, and click on DVD/CD ROM drives, then right click on the DVD drive and click Properties then click on DVD Region.
You can enter a new region and it also shows you how many changes have been made.
NOTE you can make only 4 changes and the player will lock permanently on the 4th change.
If you want to play DVD from any region you maybe able to upgrade the firmware to make it region free BUT if you make a mistake or installed the wrong firmware the the player will be a piece of junk.
The best solution to make the player region free is to install a piece of software that allows you to play DVDs from any region. There are several available on the Internet but my favourite is DVD-Region Free from ;-

Have fun, let me know if you have problems

WRONG REGION on the screen

Have you checked the region in your Disc Properties? Go into Disk Management, find your dvd and right click on it. Go into the properties and you will see a heading for Regions. In there it explains a bit about regions, which should be at 2. If it is not, then change it to 2. Let me know if this doesn't help.

How to disable theft mode on monitor philips? 276E 4K

The theft deterrence option is available from the SmartControl software that runs on a Windows PC connected to the 276E monitor. See https://www.usa.philips.com/c-p/276E8VJSB_27/4k-ultra-hd-lcd-monitor/support . Scroll down to the Software & drivers section. Then unzip the file to install it. Inside the software, the theft deterrence item is under the Options section of the menu. Since a PIN is needed to enable or disable the "feature". It seems unlikely to be enabled accidentally. Did someone else use the monitor for a while? Are you using a different computer with the Philips 276E? I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

Image flashes for one second on screen then goes away

There could be a few different issues that could cause the behavior you're describing. Here are a few possibilities:

HDMI connection issue: Make sure the HDMI cable is properly connected to both the TV and the laptop. If you're using a HDMI splitter or HDMI switch, make sure those are also properly connected.

HDMI port issue: If you've tried multiple HDMI cables and still have the issue, there could be an issue with the HDMI port on the TV or laptop. You could try a different HDMI port on the TV or laptop, or use a different device to see if the issue persists.

Display settings: Make sure the display settings on the laptop are set to display on the external monitor (the TV in this case). If the laptop is set to display on the built-in monitor, it may cause the display to flash on and off.

Hardware issue: If none of the above solutions help, there could be a hardware issue with the TV or laptop. It's possible that the display controller or other hardware component is faulty and causing the display to flash on and off. In this case, it may be necessary to have the device repaired or replaced.

I hope this helps! If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
