I have a DeWalt D2570 - GB. Stopped working. On disassembly I found a bare wire from the capacitor. Where should it go?

A photo would greatly help with your issue, are both wires still attached to the capacitor?? in not, the capacitor must be replaced with one of the same value, if the capacitor is ok, look for a wire with solder on the end but nothing else attached to it, or a solder point on a card with a hole in it or a solder joint that has broken free from the card,,, if you can solder well, and have the equipment,. it is good at this point because You'll need to re-solder them back together,, again a photo will help me greatly in telling you exactly how to fix

Dewalt cordless drill DW954 type 2

I don't know. Dewalt does not see the brushes separately, by the way. The brushes are included with the part number 391886-01SV Motor and Pinion, purportedly. https://www.ereplacementparts.com/dewalt-dw954-type-cordless-drill-parts-c-1009_1162_2316.html Don't know if calling Dewalt would help. https://www.dewalt.com/support/ Here is another link which may prove to be totally useless to you but is included just because I don't know if it might offer a hint or not: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pTDF6R9-RA

Are the brushes on a DeWalt DW954 replaceable? I've seen videos that have other models, but not the 954.

It is a sealed motor, you just buy a new one for $53. Scroll right down to the bottom of the page for Q and A. https://www.ereplacementparts.com/dewalt-dw954-type-cordless-drill-parts-c-1009_1162_2315.html ..

Which one on the circuit board of the dewalt 9116 is the positive and which one is the negative

The easiest way is to check the battery with a meter because the charger might need a load to come on and wont see the meter leads.

My Dewalt DWD460 slows down when I depress the trigger all the way. Why? A bad switch or Module??

If the speed control is the trigger, it is basically pushing the slider of a potentiometer up and down the track varying the control voltage to the speed control module. Basically it is no different in principle to an old fashioned rotary or in-line volume control and just like a volume control the track can become dirty or wear out in places producing unpredictable and erratic operation. Sometimes a thorough soaking with switch cleaner will restore the function.

Help! My screwdriver bit is stuck in the Dewalt 682 gyroscopic screwdriver. How do I get it out??

For some reason, I can't find your screwdriver on the Dewalt site. They suggest calling them if you can't find an item. That info is below. That said, here is a YouTube that may be of interest. Change chuck on dewalt 236 1/2 13 mm vsr drill Dont know how to get it off pls help

There is a torx headed screw inside the chuck that is reverse thread (Right hand to loosen) - remove that then the chuck will spin off standard thread (Left hand loosen) Most of the time I chuck a 1/2" allen wrench into the chuck, mount the drill in a vise, and strike the wrench with a hammer to get the chuck off

I have a dewalt cordless drill dcd776c3. Charger shows red light (on full - no flashing) yet the drill is not working - as if the battery is flat? I've tried the 2nd battery too - same result.

What kind of batteries are they? If they are NiMh and haven't been used for a while, they can lose their charge and NOT be sble to be charged again!

Do you have a 3rd battery that does work? Buy a battery to make sure the charger is working or that the drill is working. If yes to both of these, then your old batteries are NFG.
