there is a menu item for lamp replacement, that's where you turn the message off

have you tried making sure the lamp door is closed ... generally 3 blinks means the lamp door is not closed the door pushes a switch closed

This is a lamp issue. Reseat the lamp and if that does not fix, replace.

Replace the Bulb. You can get one at Amazon.com for less that $50.

Had that problem and replace the lamp twice, I finally replaced the optic block. It is quite involved to replace, if not technical get professional help.

Sounds like there is a short in the tv somewhere, the clicking is probably a breaker/fuse inside the tv cutting power to prevent damage to the components. Have you tried a different outlet as they can sometimes cause this to occur by surging power to the unit.
