My tv keeps shutting down it asks me to check air

Check air flow error message appears if the vent at the back of the set is clogged. It is the primary inlet for air that is required to cool the set. You may want to verify that its not clogged. If you can't find it, then unplug it, remove the back cover and blow a can of compressed air at the cover. If the fault was indeed correctly detected, your set should work when the vent is unclogged.

I don"t know where my manul is and the tv switches

Go into the menu and shut off the autoscanning. When it detects a lack of signal (like a dark spot between commercials or a DVD loading up) it confuses it for no signal and thinks it should switch.

It could be the lamp, they have an approximate 1 year life depending on conditions. If you bought the TV new, it has a 1 year warranty and labor you might want to contact warranty support. They will send you a new lamp.

To Receive a Replacement Lamp Under Warranty
Call (800) 553-7278. Please have model number, serial number, and TV purchase date available.
Important: All lamps replaced under warranty must be returned to Mitsubishi where they will be inspected for defect
verification.

Appendix C of the manual describes how to change the lamp. Handle with care (avoid fingerprints on the new lamp). Make sure the TV is off for at least an hour before starting.

If you look directly into the three picture tubes you will probably see a haze in the blue one. This is fairly common but requires a knowledgeable service man to take care of.

When turning the tv on, it gets past the blinking

Sounds to me if you got a lamp burned out on you or the lamp's ballast, I would have a local tech look at it if your not experienced in this area, but i would check the lamp first then rule out from there.

Turned on tv, no picture, only sound

the problem is likely the projection lamp .. you can replace that yourself if you are handy .. you must unplug the set and make sure everything is cool ...avoid getting finger prints on the new lamp ...here are a few places where you can get a new lamp ... you can also see what it looks like on this site ...

http://www.bluestar-online.com/Mitsubishi_Model_WD_65731_Replacement_DLP_Lamp_p/wd-65731.htm?gclid=CLb9k4zf-6ACFdk55QodwT3dxw

the lamp is likely in a cubby in the back of the set (where you used to see the bright light) ...

the lamp is mounted in a cage ... you can get the lamp already mounted in a new cage from here ...

http://purelandsupply.com/WD65731-Mitsubishi-DLP-TV-Bulbs.html

......it costs more mounted but its easier to change and you will need a new cage if yours is damaged .. from the site above you can see what the cage looks like with the lamp already mounted ..

your lamp is a model 915p049010 ... that is available thru amazon at a good price here:.(includes cage)........

Sound is chopy

What is the source of the choppy sound? Cable box? When you say it fades do you mean it gets quieter or does it just blink off? Digital signal problems will cause the latter. You might check the cable box or call your cable provider about it.
