Hi.I just want to know if my Behringer UCA202 can
It is a low cost alternative. It can be used as an interim choice until you get a true audio interface tailored for a recording studio. I use them to connect to my laptop for recording group mixes for live performances on a bus mix. It works well for that type of application. It has quality sound recording and playback at CD quality.

My computer doesn't register this device at all.
click start control panel administrive tools ,computer management ,device manager scroll down universal serial bus controllers you should see a yellow question mark?
right click to reinstall drivers or
if you can see your usb but its not working
ports(com&lpt)right click update driver
if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
you might have to uninstall then reinstall both the sound drivers and the sound card make sure you have both of these devices backed up to a disc before uninstalling
a yellow? question mark means you need to install/update driver to do this
right click to install driver also
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound, video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers
click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select appropriate speakers also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there
also
click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar
if his does not fix the problem
have you tried this control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable)
hope this helps

I have a Behringer UCA200
Hi! You will need a different product. I suggest that you do the sound convertion via SONY SOUND FORGE. This gives better sound quality and you can choose any file size you want. Hope this helps and have a good one!

How to connect mixer 100 fx to uca 202 and laptop
Just connect:
one output from 100fx to uca202 line in. Connect an output that corresponds what you want to get (e.g. if you're going to record something use record out or main out)
one line input from 100fx to uca202 line out.
the USB cable from uca202 to your laptop's USB port.
The solution is the same (in general) whatever mixer you may have.

Behringer uca 202 not recording
i also had trouble at first, and fought with it all the time! as it is not a great item. my recording software could not set it up, as it is not actual hardware.(audio codec) make sure the controls are not muted and the slide bars are set upwards. also the drivers from behringer are not signed! and could cause stability issue. you may want to do as i did and get a better unit, (about 20 bucks more) hope this info helps, good luck!
