Sennheiser Wireless Headphone picks up unwanted transmissions

This headset uses a 900 MHz frequency for connection from the headset to the base. You will always incur lots of interference in a busy office using that frequency band. Any antennas on the roof or close by? Amateur radio users? The other thing, you might have a faulty power supply or "dirty power" coming into the unit. You can try and isolate in a current regulating power bar and see if that helps. Else, consider changing technologies and moving to, say a DECT band. Avoid, 2.4 and 5 GHz bands as they are in the wireless devices range and likely will incur equal amounts of interference.

Is there any way to

Not unless the transmitter has audio going in at all times. It's a pain. I just try to remember to switch them to off when I will have no sound for a minute or two. It's annoying, but better than that loud static.

We have purchased sennheiser RS 120 wireless

Your TV should have Audio out somewhere, even if its digital audio out, you could output to a receiver and then hook your headphones to the receiver.

I just purchased another RS120 to put in bedroom,

is there a frequency channel selector on the headphone base, and on the headphones? the two pairs must be on different frequencies, or they will pick up the same show as the other

How do you connect the Sennheister RS120 Wireless Headphones to Samsung Smark TV?

You should have either a digital audio out port in the back of your tv or color coded analog out ports. Are you sure you have the cables plugged into the appropriate ports? I made the same mistake when hooking mine up, sometimes the print identifying the ports is very small. Also, since the headphones are wireless you may be receiving some kind of interference from somewhere. If you live in an apartment complex or next to a power substation that could be an issue.

No sound on left ear

I will assume you have tried tuning them via the control mounted on the headphones and still get nothing from the left ear.

First try a different channel setting on the base and retune the headphones.. if this doesn't fix it..

Check all your connections.. at the headphone base as well as the source.

Also I suggest trying them on a different source.

Since you did not mention what the source is.. I will make a few additional suggestions.

If plugged into an amplifier.. try repeated switching between output sources.. If the amp is playing fine through both speakers.. pick up an inexpensive adapter that will allow you to plug the red and white rca jacks into a headphone jack, then try HP output. (some RS 120 units shipped with this adapter)

If the source is the television itself check the connections on the back.. and check your balance settings on the sets main menu.

Depending on how old the headphones are along with frequency of use you may need new batteries.

Make sure the batteries are fully charged.. remove them and test the voltage.. they can do this for you at Radio Shack if you don't own a volt ohm meter or some other testing device.

Replacement batteries are not that expensive.. just make sure you replace them with the exact type (AAA - NiMH) and allow plenty of time for them to charge before use (overnight)

This last bit of advice I suggest caution.

You can put a fresh set of AAA standard batteries in the headphones and test them.. DO NOT PUT THE HEADPHONES ON THE CHARGING CRADLE with these batteries or you MAY DAMAGE THE HEADPHONES.

In fact I suggest you place a piece of tape or something on the cradle before you do this to remind you.. once you finish testing the headphones with standard non rechargeable batteries .. again trying different settings and tunings the set.. If they work .. you probably need a new set of rechargeable batteries..

This is a quick and dirty way of testing/comparing.. but REMOVE the standard batteries immediately after this test. Placing the headphones on the charging cradle with standard batteries in place could cause them to rupture and leak into the headphones.. so again.. be careful if you decide to test them in this fashion.

Good luck!

How to hook up to roku

See this tip I have posted here on this site. >>> Setting Up A Roku <<< and read this, You want to try the Roku player so you can stream NetFlix to your TV over your home internet connection. It can be a bit of a hair pulling experience to set one up. So I'll try and make it as easy as it can be. First; Once you receive your player, and connect it to your TV. You need to get your new player on to your home network, be sure you have a router with wireless capability's. You will need to know the name of your home network, and you will need to know your WEB key or the pass key to secure your access into your home network. To do this, go to "Settings" (on the Roku menu) then scroll thru the menu until you see "Network", press network, look for your home network and press on it, then put in the WEB key to access your home network router. Remember after each step unplug the Roku for 10 to 20 seconds to set the memory.(may take more than 1 time with some players) NEXT; Go to Roku's internet site and set up your account with them, they will need info on how to bill you if need be. So they will need some bank account info Or you can use PayPal. They need this info in case you order a pay for movie or swap to a paid channel. Next On the Roku "My Account" page, down at the right bottom of the page you will see the "Link Player" button, follow this to receive your Link code, write this code down and go to your TV, Roku menu screen and put in the Link Code. This will now activate your new Roku player. Next you will want to go to NetFlix and set up an account with them. Same thing here, they need bank account info to bill you, if you stay past the free demo time limit. Now go back to your TV, Roku menu and scroll thru the menu to press on NetFlix, here you will go thru the Menu to get another link code. This time it will come on the TV, Roku menu to go back and put that code in your NetFlix account to activate your Roku player with NetFlix. Now in the process of all this you may have to unplug your Roku player after each link code to set it into memory. This causes a lot of folks trouble as they do not, "Turn Off" the Roku after they put in the network key, the Roku link code, then again after they put in the NetFlix link code. One last bit of help. Do not create a large Instant Queue on your NetFlix account. This causes problems with the memory usage in the Roku player, and It can keep NetFlix from loading.
