Panasonic DMR-EZ47V DVD Recorder/VCR Questions & Answers
Panasonic dmr-ez49veb wont play dvd-r discs
I would suggest contacting Panasonic support. You can search for their website/home page for their contact numbers. Typically, manufacturers maintain help, support, upgrade, forums and FAQs/knowkedge bases to help customers troubleshoot their appliances/equipment. I have used similar methods, previously, to update/upgrade the firmware on an "obsolete" DVR and it has lasted 4 more years (still working).

Code F60 on DMR-Ez47V
Unfortunately, the F60 error means that the video processing board (digital PCB board with the HDMI port on it) has a failure. Often this happens when the capacitors on the board fail. Replacing the board or the failed components on the board is usually necessary. Some of the components may be available here:
https://www.encompassparts.com/model/MSCDMREZ47V/_/_/Panasonic/DMREZ47V/DVD_RECORDER .
First you can try to reset the unit. Unplug it. Then plug it in after a few minutes. Then when you see the string of 0's, press and hold the power button. Then try to power up the unit normally. Alternatively, press and hold Stop and Hold while you power on the DMR-EZ47V.
I hope this helps. Unfortunately, I am not sure which part number applies to the part you need from the PC Boards available from the site above.

Unit turns on and off but nothing else works
Simultaneously press the [CHANNEL UP] and [CHANNEL DOWN] buttons on the front of the DVD Recorder for approximately 10 - 15 seconds (until the unit powers off).
Disconnect the wall outlet. Wait for 10 minutes. Then power up.
It this still does not help....and If you are capable of taking the risk check out DMR-EZ47 Firmware Installation Instructions
Panasonic DMR EZ47 Installation Instructions Manual
Familiarize yourself with all the steps and especially the page 7,8 before you attempt this,

What do I need to do if the Dvd player says no disc and will not open
First of all check that ALL the cables are plugged into the correct place, look for a small hole just under the DVD player. Very Small hole. Find a small round metal object that will fit into the hole & gently apply pressure & it should then open the DVD player. The only suggestion I can advise is try putting a cleaning DVD into the DVD & see if you can make it play this may be all it needs. Best Wishes. Malcolm.

Why when playing dvd still receiving tv sound off freeview
The problem is probably in how your audio is liked up. Is the connection from DVD to TV via hdmi, scart, phono, RGB, optical? You need to check that the video link from DVD to TV and the audio link from DVD to TV are the same. Hope this helps.

How to replace dvd assembly in panasonic dmr-ez48v
It is not advisable to do the replacement of the DVD assembly oneself if you do not have the correct tools and knowledge of doing this kind of work. The components and mechanisms are very fine/intricate, also there could be damage to pc boards during removal-replacement of wiring and most important is that one can get "seriously" harmed if not following "standard LASER precautions" during the complete replacement operation. Some Words of Wisdom - An old friend once told me, "don't steal another man's bread and butter"!

How can I unlock this blue ray disc player so it plays multi region please?
If you google "unlock dvd regions" you will find many sites that provide this info for dvd's and blue ray players. I have given an exact site on FIXYA before but can't remember. Maybe FIXYA can go back about 18 months to my original comment on this info in their archives and provide this detail for you.

Dvd says "no read" when I insert disk.
I hope I am not stating the fact you have pressed play when you run the cleaning Disk through the player on the DVD Drive.
You would not be the first person to forget to change to the DVD drive & ensure the cleaning DVD run properly.
If it cannot read the cleaning DVD then sorry to say I cannot help you any further, Best Wishes I hope someone can give any more information, as I do not know anything else to try except replace the machine.
