Un-mute sound. Be sure speakers are not turned OFF. Go to settings menu, audio, then check the speaker settings. When used with a separate stereo, or surround sound system, the speakers need to be OFF. When used in a stand alone mode, they need to be turned ON. IT might not have been the bulb, it could be the ballast, it could be the power supply. The other things that it might be are the fan, the temp sensor or a bad bulb.
