Have you even replaced the bulb / lamp on this TV - other than the green light - did they turn solid red / orange at any point? My initial thought is you need to replace the bulb.

I had a 50 inch projection tv and when the bulb would go out there was always a popping sound. I went on ebay and found a new bulb at half the price the tv maker wanted. I would replace the bulb. If that is not the problem then you will just have a spare that will be needed at some point.

If your old lamp is still working fine and the new lamp is not, then you bought a defective lamp. Get your money back or exchange the lamp.

You might want to look at the lamp again to see it is intact and not shattered----2,000 hours or 2 years is normal life for a OEM lamp but a generic or cheaper version lasts about a year and picture is usually not as bright as with the original ones.

Follow the power cord inside the set---be aware precautions and care need to be taken when opening the set--easy to damage screen etc if not done properly.In this set usually not a fuse if dead unless no power light--nothing at all.....

It would seem either a setting at the ps3 or the set is not right.Good idea to check all inputs and setup again--if something like a DVD works on rear input issue is with the PS3.
