Panasonic PT-52LCX66 Projection Television - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Why will my tv not turn on from the power button or the remote
Perhaps the power supply or just the power switch is defect?
There can be so many causes. Without having the system on my bench, connected to some measurement tools, I could not tell you what is wrong. And I'm a skilled technical engineer, repairing electronics for over 40 years.

Why will my Panasonic 52 inch rear projection will not turn on?
I had a 50 inch projection tv and when the bulb would go out there was always a popping sound. I went on ebay and found a new bulb at half the price the tv maker wanted. I would replace the bulb. If that is not the problem then you will just have a spare that will be needed at some point.

Bulb or Ballast?
If your old lamp is still working fine and the new lamp is not, then you bought a defective lamp. Get your money back or exchange the lamp.

An OSD advising "AIR FILTER CLEANING" is displayed

When you turn of the
A continuous flashing red light with the word LAMP on it would definitely mean you're going to need to spend a few bucks on a new lamp....or for a few more, upgrade to a TV from this century that doesn't require lamp changes :)
