The Powerbook G4 power button functions like a reset button if you hold the power button in for a few seconds until the computer powers down.

1. Hold the power button in for a few seconds (until you see the screen turn off/go black and hear the fans & hard drive stop spinning).
2. Press the power button again to turn your computer on.
3. If you have more trouble, you may need to boot in Safe Mode or "perform a Safe Boot": Press and hold down the "Shift" key immediately after you hear the start-up tone. Release the "Shift" key when the gray Apple icon appears on the screen.

Lack of information , What is the model number of the wi-fi router. Once you know this google search for default ip address (with the router model number) then google search default password (with router model) then open a browser with p.c or laptop directly connected to the router via an ethernet patch cable. Type in ip address in browser. then log into router. And go to security and look what the encryption key is and make a note of it, if you have a working device already on the wi fi you may be able to log into the router. typical default router addresses are 192.168.0.1 ot 10.0.0.1 your may be different.

Try going into safe mode by pressing F8 when you turn your computer on it will keep beeping just keep pressing F8 and once your in sage mode you should see your user name click on Other and type in administrator and that should let you in to reset your password for your account. Check if there is any sound coming out of the headphone (using headphone and playing itunes).If there is none. Goto System Preference > Hardware > Sound > Output ; check if the output is assign to internal speaker and it is not muted. Do a visual check at the headphone connector, look into it, see if you see a red light emit from the headphone jack (indicate that the fault is in the headphone connector, it's trying to output optical spdif).

Cut the airport off and back on again. After that, delete any wifi profiles you have, and then re-add them. This will clear any corrupt profiles and troubleshoot that. If you can't connect to anything after that, check that the airport card is connected securely. If, after all that, it still isn't working, and other devices are able to connect to the same network, then your airport card is probably no longer working.

Sims 3 will not run on a mac that isn't using an Intel based processor. You will have to upgrade from a Power-PC processor in order to use the latest version of sims.

Only date & time are changed? Are they reset to year of 19XX?If it is, that problem usually is caused by low Bios battery. You should replace it.

WHen you hear the startup chime, hold the shift key down. Do not release the shift key until you see the login screen. Then login and examine your System Preferences for something you recently added that is incompatible with your system. If you can't find anything obvious, use the Console utility to examine the system logs and see what error messages occurred during your earlier unsuccessful boot attempts.

This is usually symptomatic of a chafed or pinched LVDS cable, especially if the line comes and goes as you work the hinges. This not a user-replaceable part. If the line does not flicker when the hinges are moved, there is a possibility that your LCD screen itself has gone bad.

Bad video graphics chip on logic board. Probably made by Nvidia. Repair logic board or replace the logic board.
