I have a f21 code

Hi
F21 error means that the drain time has exceeded 8 minutes; this will turn off the water valves. Press PAUSE/CANCEL two times to clear the display. If errors still remains then please check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked. Disassemble the washer by removing the back from the washer and check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is draining. Also inspect the pump filter for foreign objects. Before disassembling remember to turn off the power and disconnect the washer. If it still doesn't help then there is an issue with the pump and you'll need to replace it.
Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Where is the pressure switch hose? and how can you

The pressure switch is located near the top of machine with a Hose connected to it and several wires....You would know if machine is syphoning as it would drain on gravity..Raise hose just in case this will cure.

See on control board

The F1 error code indicates that the water level pressure transducer signal is out of range on the machine control board. A pinched or kinked air pressure hose between the bottom of the washer tub and the connection on the machine control board can cause this. A failed control board (the pressure transducer is integrated into the machine control board) can also cause it.

I recommend unplugging the washer and checking the air pressure hose between the bottom of the tub and the machine control first.

F2 warning is displayed what do I do to resolve

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

This is a general remedy for most Whirlpool made front-load machines, such as Whirlpool, Kenmore, Maytag, Amana etc. The "Sd" or "F2" is the same as F21 on most Whirlpool washer's and indicates the machine has detected too much soap or a obstruction in the drain process.

Chances are the pump itself is being obstructed by debris or some other foreign object as opposed to being faulty, although the faulty pump can`t be ruled out...yet.

**This is also the reason for a no spin & the "suds" message if applicable**

Here`s how to check it and clean it...

**Turn off the breaker at the service panel or unplug the washer from the wall socket...safety first**

1) locate the screws in front at the very bottom of the panel below the door and pull the panel down and forward until it is off. They will be either 1/4" hex head or #20 torx head screws.

2) You will immediately see the drain pump in front of you with a large removable filter. ( **see image below...this is were a wet-dry shop vac and towels come in handy, also the use of the removed panel as a catch pan is beneficial...but you may still get wet )
b3f3b21.jpg
3) Turn it counter-clockwise should allow you to remove it and inspect it and clean it out. Make a good thorough inspection inside the pump as well not just the removable filter.

4) Re-insert the filter and before placing the panel back run a test rinse/drain cycle to inspect for leaks and to verify the unit drains and spins now.

( If the problem still exist`s the Sd or "F2" or "F21" will re-appear. If so you`ll need to check the hose/rubber bellows from pump to tub...back-flow ball...for other obstructions ).

5) If all appears OK after your efforts, well your efforts paid off...pat yourself on the back. You just saved yourself potentially a couple hundred bucks !

Now You should be good to go. Re-attach the lower panel and you`re back in business.

**NOTE: if this still fails to remedy the Sd, F2, F21 or if it returns immediately during the next drain you may require a pump unfortunately...part # 280187 available at "searspartsdirect.com" "repairclinic.com" etc.

**This however can also be caused by the back-flow ball inside the bellows which connects the tub to the pump. There is a large clamp which secures it to the tub, but if you remove it to clean out all the dirt built up inside, make sure you get it good and secure when putting it back.**

I'm looking for a video to replace a snubber in my

I'm assuming that since you mentioned a "snubber" that the washer you are referring is a Maytag manufactured top loader (Admiral is manufactured by Maytag). If so, the following link can give you some guidance on how to repolace the snubber and/or brake assembly:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3574320-maytag_washer_squeaking_problem

I have included part numbers for tools you may need and some advice on what you can do to avoid having to purchase any higher priced special tools.

Replacement parts (if required) can be purchased at any of the following web sites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

Recommendations on parts that may require replacement:

Brake Rotor with Lining
Brake Stator Snubber

The part numbers will be based on your MODEL NUMBER.

Prices will vary between the sites I have listed, so shop and compare. The first three sites I have listed, have helpful exploded view diagrams to assist you with locating and properly identfying the parts you need. If you search by model number, these parts are listed under the "Transmission" parts list. This is not a difficult repair, and the parts (including most of the tools) are not expensive.

If you have any questions about this repair, please post back and let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France @16:44 Sat afternoon!

Do not hesitate to use the new machine warranty- that is what it is there for!
It should not cost you anything. If it does it is not a good warranty/manufacture/retail outlet!

Having major problems installing the bellow on my

To get the clamp back on you'll need to fit the rubber part on first. Then begin working the wire part of the spring clamp back on, starting 180 degrees away from the spring. As you work it back on and into the groove, it will become harder to get on. When you can't go further, carefully lever the wire and spring over the lip and into place with a small screwdriver, or similar, being careful not to pinch or tear the rubber bellows.
Best regards,

Need instruction on how to

The boot will have a retaining wire on both the front panel and plastic tub interfaces. You need to remove the front panel wire first. Simply pull the lip forward until you can see the wire. Use a pliers or screwdriver to remove it. Peel the boot off of the front panel and you can see the attachment to the tub. Same removal technique.

Be very careful when installing the new boot to be sure it is seated fully and correctly all the way around the tub. Reinstall the retaining wire. Same installation technique for the front panel.

Good luck.

When washer starts to wash it beeps and flashes

Hi

Error FH means that a water inlet problem has occurred. If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine and then valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed. Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display. If the machine is not filling then check whether both valves at water source are turned ON and inlet hose are not plugged. If the machine is filling fine then chec the pressure switch hose and the drain hose for siphoning (also make sure water is not flowing back to the machine from drain hose). Check wire harness connections to: Inlet Valves, Pressure Switch, Drain Pump, Flow Meter, and Central Control Unit (CCU). Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.
