Bosch Nexxt 100 Series WFMC1001UC Front Load Washer - Page 10 Questions & Answers
We have a Bosch Nexxt 100 Series Washer. The door
Getting the door open is the easy part. Finding out why it won't open might take a little doing -- though replacing the door latch is also easy. To get the door open, Take an awl or something pointy and place it in the hole on the small round cover in the lower left front of the machine. Now use this to turn the cover, unscrewing it from the machine. Once the cover is off, you should see a plastic rod hanging down. Pull this rod and it will unlock the door. You can now remove your wet clothes from the machine and investigate the cause of the problem.
Hello - we have a
Easy to do....But may need a service call from a pro to fix the underlying issue.
Take the bottom right little door off and try not to cut yourself reaching in..(OH TURN OF THE POWER). reaching in after looking with a flashlight try to grap the zip tie looking plastic hanging there and pull it down gently and it will unlock.
Of course make sure you tried to unplug it first for 10 minutes and then try turning it on again in spin mode.

Bosch washer WFMC2201UC/15 has E13 error and will
Hello,
Welcome to FixYa.
The E13 error code on the WFMC series Bosch washer`s refer to a drainage problem, as you may or may not already know. ( or in Bosch terms "pump time exceeded" )
Anyway, here`s the most likely way to remedy a E13 code.
**Unplug the washer from the wall or turn off the breaker before attempting any repairs**
Get some towels and if possible a wet/dry vac. If the machine drained, it won't be too bad. If your machine is stuck full of water, that sucks...hopefully you won't get too wet. ( maybe you`re lucky enough to be close to a floor drain )
- Locate the round door on the front of the machine (about 6" in diameter, lower right corner)
- Find a drill bit or small screwdriver that fits in the hole in the round door.
- Insert the bit into the hole in the door. It will push in a tab, it doesn't take much force. Rotate the hole (clockwise) to 6'oclock and it should come free. (the edges are very sharp so be careful or wear chain-mail gloves).
- Once the door is out of the way you'll be greeted by a 3-4" plastic cap with wings so you can unscrew it by hand. ( you should also see a red ring with a string attached, if you pull this the door should unlatch, but getting the water out first is usually a good plan ) There is a small collector lip at the bottom of the cap, that is where you can hold the wet/dry vac to catch the water. Unscrew slowly so you don't get flooded, until it is unscrewed all the way out.
- Now pull out the trap and visually inspect the inside of the pump as well as the filter/trap. Hopefully you'll find the item/debris that initiated the error code.
- After removing any debris or obstruction`s re-install the button trap/lint filter and plug the washer in to power or reset the breaker and give it a test.
- Run a load and watch for leaks. Leave the pump access door off until you are sure you screwed the cap in tight and there are no leaks.
Ultimately you may have a faulty drain pump, but I would certainly start by performing the things I listed first.
Let me know if you require further assistance and if not and this solves your problem, please rate the solution I provided accordingly.
Thank you for coming to "fixya" and good luck.

How do I remove a piece of metal from bra which
it completely has to be pulled apart and once you have done that you will probably find the bra wire while spinning around has ripped into the plastic outer tank so bad it will now leak and have to be replaced & this is the most expensive job to have done it sounds silly for a bra wire but you should honestly consider buying a new machine it often ends up cheaper to do so rather than spending 3/4's of the price of a new one fixing your one.
While washer is on spin
Hello,
Welcome to FixYa.
Based on your post, "sounds as though there is a coin or screw spinning around in behind trap door" this is usually associated with something in the drain pump or pump filter.
Yes you should open it...however make sure you have a wet-dry vacuum or lots of towels first as there is likely some water present since it is the drain pump and filter you're dealing with.
These are the steps I'd suggest you take to move forward...
**Unplug the washer from the wall or turn off the breaker before attempting any repairs**
Get some towels and if possible a wet/dry vac. as I mentioned If the machine mostly drained, it won't be too bad. ( maybe you`re lucky enough to be close to a floor drain )
Lets begin...
- Locate the round door on the front of the machine (about 6" in diameter, lower right corner)
- Find a drill bit or small screwdriver that fits in the hole in the round door.
3. Insert the bit into the hole in the door. It will push in a tab, it doesn't take much force. Rotate the hole (clockwise) to 6'oclock and it should come free. (the edges are very sharp so be careful...I usually cover the edges with electrical or duct tape or wear welders gloves).
4. Once the door is out of the way you'll be greeted by a 3-4" plastic cap with wings so you can unscrew it by hand or with the aid of pliers.
( you should also see a ring with a string attached, if you pull this the door should unlatch, but getting the water out first is usually a good plan )
THIS RELEASES THE DOOR LATCH IF PULLED
There is a small collector lip at the bottom of the cap, that is where you can hold the wet/dry vac to catch the water. Unscrew slowly so you don't get flooded, until it is unscrewed all the way out
5. Now pull out the trap and visually inspect the inside of the pump as well as the filter/trap.
Hopefully you'll find the item/debris that initiated your post here.

6. After removing any debris or obstruction`s re-install the button trap/lint filter and plug the washer in to power or reset the breaker and give it a test.
7. Run a load and watch for leaks. Leave the pump access door off until you are sure you screwed the cap in tight and there are no leaks.

My bosche mod # wfmc1001uc
Hi,
Remove any kinks in the drain hose. Ensure that the washer is not sitting on the hose.
Inspect the household drain. Remove clogs, if possible. Call a plumber if you cannot remove the clogs.
Check the drain and make sure there is an air gap between the hose and drain. An air gap is necessary to prevent the drain hose from siphoning water.
Clean the pump filter. Open the pump access door. Turn the pump filter counter-clockwise and remove it. Remove dirt and debris. Replace the filter and close the pump access door.
Rearrange the clothing in the load. An unbalanced load can prevent the washer from spinning or draining.
Allow the washer to cool down for two hours. If the washer overheats, it will stop the motor and cool down before restarting.
Close the door completely. The washer will not operate if the door is not securely closed.
I hope the above helps.
Good luck.
Bosch wfmc1001uc spin cycle not
Hello,
Welcome to FixYa.
Based on your post, "spin cycle not working" this is usually the bi-product of the unit not draining properly.
These are the steps I'd suggest you take to move forward...
**Unplug the washer from the wall or turn off the breaker before attempting any repairs**

Hopefully you'll find the item/debris that initiated the poor spin error here.

The washer has an odor...I
The first thing to do is to CHECK IN AND AROUND THE RUBBER DOOR BOOT (called a bellow) for small articles of clothing (like socks and underwear) that may have gotten lodged in behind the rubber. Pull the rubber back where it meets the wash tub and look behind it. It is common for small items to get stuck here, become forgotten and start to mildew. You should check this area after each wash and clean it periodically to get rid of the formation of soap scum, mold, and mildew. HINT: When you get ready to wash a load of towels, take a dirty towel and clean the door boot thoroughly (including the areas behind the rubber). Immediately place the towel in the wash and run it on a sanitary cycle. This way you eliminate the need for cleaning rags.
PERIODICALLY RUN THE WASHER ON A CLEANING CYCLE. Place the washer on the hottest setting you have (usually a Sanitary cycle) with nothing but bleach in the wash tub. Some newer models actually have a "Clean Cycle" available now just for this purpose. This helps keep the wash tub, drain lines and pump sanitized.
CHECK AND CLEAN THE DRAIN PUMP FILTER. Accumulations of debris in the drain pump filter can also cause odors. HINT: If you own a shop vac, pull the drain hose from the standpipe at the wall and pull a vacuum on the line. This will drain any residual water left in the tub, pump and drain lines BEFORE you remove the drain pump cover. This will prevent a messy clean up later.
LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN IF POSSIBLE. When not in use, leave the door open to allow the tub to air out and to keep mold and mildew from forming on the door bellow. I know this may not be desirable in some households with small children. If too much mildew forms on the rubber and it cannot be removed, replacement of the bellow may be required.
NOTE: This problem is common with front loader style washing machines. The doors on these machines have an air tight/water tight seal that is great for sealing the washer during the wash cycle, but can be terrible for collecting small garments and for not allowing the tub to properly air out when not in use. Following these simple preventive measures can go a long way towards preventing harmful mold and mildew, and towards extending the life of the door bellow and pump.

You will need to replace the boot. The boot is held on by a spring that stretches around the outside of the seal. The seal simply hooks on to a small lip so all you need to do is start in one spot and push it down and away. Then just work it around like removing a bike tire until it is fully removed. Be careful of the spring. It is hooked together so it may unhook once some of the tension is removed and snap around.
It is not a big deal to replace this part, you are doing the right thing leaving it open as they tend to mould up if left shut.
Here is a link to Bosch so you may order the correct part.
My washing machine works fine
Hi,
Welcome to FixYa.
Based on what you`ve described, it sounds like perhaps there is an obstruction in the pump...or perhaps the pump is indeed seized/failed.
I would first check the pump for obstructions.
**Unplug the washer or turn off your breaker before servicing the washer...safety first**
To clean the pump on your washer, If you direct your attention to the bottom right side of your Bosch you'll see a small round cover like so...
With the aid of a small screw driver, knitting needle, or anything small enough to fit in the small hole in this cover...
It will push in a tab, it doesn't take much force.
Rotate the hole (clockwise) to 6'oclock and it should come free, the edges are very sharp so be careful.
Once the door is out of the way you'll be greeted by a 3-4" plastic cap with wings so you can unscrew it by hand. ( you should also see a green or red ring attached to a metal clip on the pump, if you pull this the door should unlatch, but getting the water out first is usually a good plan )
There is a small collector lip at the bottom of the cap, that is where you can hold the wet/dry vac to catch the water. Unscrew slowly so you don't get flooded, until it is unscrewed all the way out. There is potential for a lot of water...even if the washer looks empty.
Now pull out the trap/filter and visually inspect the inside of the pump as well as the filter/trap.
That is how you gain access to and clear the filter on your Bosch washer.
If this was the problem, awesome. If not let me know and I`ll try and help further.
Hope you found this helpful. If so please take a moment to write a short testimony and leave a rating.
Thank you for choosing FixYa, good luck.

My Bosch WMV washing machine
Hi.
The procedure is the same for all Bosch front loading machines.
If there is water in the tub, then you need to drain water out of the machine first.
Disconnect
power and first check the drain hose at the back of the appliance,
use a bucket to empty water placing the hose at the floor level.
Second
part of drain job is done accessing the filter. the filter is connected
to the drain pump. This is accessed through the service access located
in front of the machine, on the lower side.
Remove the trim at the
base of the machine using a lever, then unscrew the filter cap located
at the left hand side, ensure that you have a container ready to collect
the water.
At that point, try connecting back power and unlock door. Door should open.
If
door still does not unlock, then the door interlock, the pressure
switch or door lock may be responsible. In that case most Bosch have an
emergency lock located near to the pump:
After starting machine, door locks, wash light
Hi,
That would either be a control board or the water inlet valve......
check for power to the valve when it should be filling.....
if there is power.....replace valve....if no power....replace board
