Will not spin belt is fine a relay will click but

Hello, Welcome to FixYa.

There are a couple of scenarios which may prevent the dryer from starting with Bosch.

To save time and back and forth dialog, I`ll mention the most likely and what to do about it.

**Unplug the dryer before attempting any repair tips suggested here please...safety first**

There is an auto shut off or emergency kill switch next to the motor which will prevent it to start in the event it was tripped for whatever reason.

It will look like this image below and all you need to do is push it to the right ( from the back )...

i.e.
cec1732.jpg

If you`ve already taken the back of the dryer off to gain access you should have no problem. If you never have, it`ll take some time.

Either Scenario I alluded to ( the other would be resetting the hi-limit cut out, you can see through the back vent opening when the vent is removed and then by pushing the red button in...shown below ) will require the removal of that panel so let me know if you require further assistance to do this.

My front loader fills with water, pumps and drains

Remove the back panel of the machine and operate it to check that the drive belts are being engaged to drive the drum. Observe the operation from a safe distance when you have the back off as there are live terminals within reach and you could be severely shocked if you come into contact with any one of them. Unplug the machine again before checking anything withing the workings.

I had problem with cold

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

The water inlet valve is bad and needs replacement. There is no such circuit breaker that can reset the washer, as the unit did not fill with water so it won't wash and spin. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

I can't open the door after the last wash cycle.

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your post, this can also be the bi-product of the unit not spinning/draining properly.

These are the steps I'd suggest you take to move forward...

**Unplug the washer from the wall or turn off the breaker before attempting any repairs**

Get some towels and if possible a wet/dry vac. If the machine drained, it won't be too bad. If your machine is stuck full of water, that sucks...hopefully you won't get too wet. ( maybe you`re lucky enough to be close to a floor drain )
  1. Locate the round door on the front of the machine (about 6" in diameter, lower right corner) macmarkus_26.jpg
  2. Find a drill bit or small screwdriver that fits in the hole in the round door.
macmarkus_30.jpg
3. Insert the bit into the hole in the door. It will push in a tab, it doesn't take much force. Rotate the hole (clockwise) to 6'oclock and it should come free. (the edges are very sharp so be careful...I usually cover the edges with electrical or duct tape or wear welders gloves).

4. Once the door is out of the way you'll be greeted by a 3-4" plastic cap with wings so you can unscrew it by hand or with the aid of pliers.

macmarkus_32.jpg
( you should also see a ring with a string attached, if you pull this the door should unlatch, but getting the water out first is usually a good plan )

macmarkus_31.jpg THIS RELEASES THE DOOR LATCH IF PULLED
There is a small collector lip at the bottom of the cap, that is where you can hold the wet/dry vac to catch the water. Unscrew slowly so you don't get flooded, until it is unscrewed all the way out

5. Now pull out the trap and visually inspect the inside of the pump as well as the filter/trap.

Hopefully you'll find the item/debris that initiated the error here.

macmarkus_29.jpg
6. After removing any debris or obstruction`s re-install the button trap/lint filter and plug the washer in to power or reset the breaker and give it a test.

7. Run a load and watch for leaks. Leave the pump access door off until you are sure you screwed the cap in tight and there are no leaks.

Ultimately you may have a faulty drain pump, or door lock but I would certainly start by performing the things I listed first.

Let me know if you require further assistance and if not and this solves your problem, please rate the solution I provided accordingly.

Thank you for coming to "FixYa" and good luck.

Macmarkus :)

The washing machine door won't

Has it been stuck? Check the screws that holds the washer door. If the metal parts have corroded, the door probably is stuck. You might have to lubricate the metal parts to loosen it up.

It might also be caused by a broken door switch. You might have accidentally slammed it shut and now it won't open up. Pry it gently but you might need to replace the switch.

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

It sounds like a bad door latch/lock. It will require you to remove the front door seal spring to gain access to the part.

If this sounds like something you can repair I'll try and help in whatever manner I can or you may opt to call a pro.

Let me know how it goes and if you require further assistance. Thanks for choosing FixYa. Good luck

Bosch washer washes and at the start of the rinse

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Sorry but I do not know your particular machine BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters. The motor is unable to drain all of the water in the allotted time.
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is normally behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and held in by a round cover/knob.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!

It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

Unplug the washer. Pull it out from the wall. Remove the back panel, and check to see if belt is still on drum and motor drive shaft.

Washer doesn't agitate or spin. How can I tell if

Hi

Try to move the tub by hand. If it is not moving easily then small clothing or any other foreign object is stuck there and you'll need to clean it. If it is moving by hand then it is due to a loose or broken/worn out drum bearing itself that has gone bad and should be replaced. If there is a humming or rattling noise then the belt has gone bad and needs to be replaced. Hope this helps....please post back for further assistance.
