"E3" on a Bosch Maxx means the door is not closed properly. Either there something preventing it from closing properly (blockage) or there is a fault with the locking mechanism.

My Bosch 100 series won't drain or spin. How do I

My Bosch 100 series won't drain or spin. How do I get the pump cover off the front of the washer to check the drain pump?

If you experience a problem where the washer does not drain properly or the drain pump makes excessive noise, here’s the information you need to check the drain pump:

Symptom: PUMP IS RUNNING, BUT NOT DRAINING PROPERLY.

1. Unplug the washer while servicing inside the unit.
2. Remove the lower kick panel under the door by removing the three 7mm screws under the bottom edge of the panel. HINT: Use a couple of blocks of wood to prop up the front feet of the washer to gain better access to the screws. Once the screws are removed the panel should drop down, and then pull off. If the panel becomes stuck, a slight tap on either side will dislodge it.
3. Locate the drain pump. It will be located directly under the wash tub (it is the only pump this washer has).
4. There is an access removal cover on the pump that can be removed to clean out the trap. BEFORE doing this, it is strongly recommended that you remove all residual water from the wash tub & drain line or you will have about a gallon or so inside your washer and on the floor to clean up.
5. Here’s a helpful way of quickly removing the residual water. If you own a wet/dry shop vac, remove the drain hose from the standpipe at the wall and pull a vacuum with the shop vac. This will empty the wash tub, pump and drain lines. If you don’t own a shop vac, grab a bunch of old towels and open the access on the pump slowly so that it comes out at a trickle. Allow the towels to soak up the majority of the water. Close the access and stop the water if you need to get additional towels.
6. Open the pump access and remove once you have all the water drained. Check the drain pump for foreign objects and debris. Check the pump impeller and make sure there’s nothing caught in it. Items as small as toothpicks or cotton swabs have been known to stop this pump from working.
7. Clean out the pump thoroughly and reinstall the access cover. Make sure the cover is snug, but do not over tighten.
8. Place the drain hose back in the standpipe (IMPORTANT – DO NOT FORGET!).
9. With the bottom panel still off, plug the washer back in and select the following on the operator console – DRAIN SPIN, NO SPIN, and then press any button under OPTIONS 4 times (it must be the same button). “C00” will show on the console display as the washer begins diagnostics mode.
10. Check the drain pump for leaks as the washer fills. The pump is gravity filled and will hold water even it is not pumping. Allow washer to run through diagnostics until it begins the wash tub tumble cycle.
11. At this point, you can stop the diagnostics procedure by pressing PAUSE/CANCEL 2 times. The drain pump energizes and the washer will begin to drain.
12. If the drain pump works normal and there are no leaks detected, reinstall the bottom panel and tighten screws.

NOTE: It is normal to have residual water left inside the wash tub under the wash basket. This is why it is important to leave the door ajar when not in use so this water does not become sour.

I am trying to install a replacement door seal

I am trying to install a replacement door gasket/seal/boot kit no. 667489 on a Bosch washing machine WFMc 0110UC03 ser Fd8701. The instructions that were included appear to begin in the middle with directions to remove a flushing hose which is not visible.

Replacing the door gasket requires the removal of the top panel and the front panel. Disconnect power to the washer prior to servicing to avoid the risk of electric shock.

Open the door and locate the retaining wire hoop securing the door gasket to the outer lip of the door opening. Stretch the wire hoop spring at the bottom of the door opening and remove the wire hoop assembly then peel off the door gasket from the outer lip of the door opening into the drum.

Remove the top panel and then front panel.Slightly lean the top of the front panel and disconnect the door lock and switch assembly wiring harness then move the front panel away.

Remove the flushing hose from the gasket the locate and remove the other wire hoop securing the gasket to the tub. Remove the gasket from the tub and install the new gasket properly into position.

Reinstall the flushing hose then reconnect the door lock and switch assembly wiring harness. Secure the front panel into position then put the door gasket over the outer lip of the door opening then secure it properly with the retaining wire hoop. Do not over tighten the door gasket to avoid tearing it off.

Slide the top panel back into position and secure it in place.

Finished, wash and spin lights flashing. Door locked and cannot get clothes out

I just had this problem! To get the clothes out, open door manually (follow answers on other threads here about opening toe panel and gently pulling down on door release). But as it turned out, I didn't need to remove the clothes, and now my washer is working again.

A local repairman gave me this advice over the phone. Make sure dial is switched to off. Unplug your machine, then plug it back in. Hold down the rinse and delay buttons with one hand. With the other hand, switch the dial from off to cold or warm or whatever cycle you want. All the buttons flash a few times, then just the start button flashes. The second time I tried this, my washer worked afterwards. I've done several loads today with no problem.

Hi. Remove dispenser, and thouroughly clean.
This should solve problem. If problem persists, don't worry about it tomuch, as long as it takes the conditioner down that is the main thing.

wont drain or spin mode

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your post,
"wont drain or spin mode" this is usually associated with a plugged drain or pump.
These are the steps I'd suggest you take to move forward...

**Unplug the washer from the wall or turn off the breaker before attempting any repairs**

Get some towels and if possible a wet/dry vac. If the machine drained, it won't be too bad. If your machine is stuck full of water, that sucks...hopefully you won't get too wet. ( maybe you`re lucky enough to be close to a floor drain )

  1. Locate the round door on the front of the machine (about 6" in diameter, lower right corner) macmarkus_26.jpg
  2. Find a drill bit or small screwdriver that fits in the hole in the round door.
macmarkus_30.jpg

3. Insert the bit into the hole in the door. It will push in a tab, it doesn't take much force. Rotate the hole (clockwise) to 6'oclock and it should come free. (the edges are very sharp so be careful...I usually cover the edges with electrical or duct tape or wear welders gloves).

4. Once the door is out of the way you'll be greeted by a 3-4" plastic cap with wings so you can unscrew it by hand or with the aid of pliers.

( you should also see a ring with a string attached, if you pull this the door should unlatch, but getting the water out first is usually a good plan )

macmarkus_31.jpg THIS RELEASES THE DOOR LATCH IF PULLED

There is a small collector lip at the bottom of the cap, that is where you can hold the wet/dry vac to catch the water. Unscrew slowly so you don't get flooded, until it is unscrewed all the way out

5. Now pull out the trap and visually inspect the inside of the pump as well as the filter/trap.

Hopefully you'll find the item/debris that initiated your post here.

6. After removing any debris or obstruction`s re-install the button trap/lint filter and plug the washer in to power or reset the breaker and give it a test.

7. Run a load and watch for leaks. Leave the pump access door off until you are sure you screwed the cap in tight and there are no leaks.

Let me know if you require further assistance and if not and this solves your problem, please rate the solution I provided accordingly.

Thank you for coming to "FixYa" and good luck.

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your post, "spin cycle not working"
this is usually the bi-product of the unit not draining properly.

5. Now pull out the trap and visually inspect the inside of the pump as well as the filter/trap.

Hopefully you'll find the item/debris that initiated the poor spin error here.

Ultimately you may have a faulty drain pump, or door lock but I would certainly start by performing the things I listed first, the motor is very unlikely.

Hi mwilczewsk,

I believe your drain pump filter is just clogged. The drain pump is trying to pump the water out before the Spin cycle, but can't. Usually this is caused by a foreign object that is obstructing the impeller. See my tip on how to access, drain & clean the Drain Pump Filter:

ACCESS, DRAIN & CLEAN THE DRAIN PUMP FILTER

After this, the Spin cycle will run, after the drainage procedure. If it does not, then you may need to replace the Drain Motor. Which is a easy task.

Kind Regards :-)

HI. Front loader washer units do not have agitators so they do not agitate. They simply tumble the load. Are you sure you are asking about the appropriate model?

Please clarify..
