Copystar 1820 Drum unit problem. Removed the

Hello rsly,
First of all, you need to be sure that the toner cartridge was installed properly. If it was installed properly, then it will first print out with excess toner on paper and thecopies will look bad before it actually starts printing normally. The printeris just getting the toner properly set by pushing out the excess toner and leveling the cartridge.
If you followed these steps when installing the toner cartridge, you are on track:
Open the door in the printer or copier that contains the toner cartridge. This is usually located in the front of the machine. Pull the entire drum unit out of the machine.
Place the drum unit on a sheet of paper or a drop cloth to catch any toner that might spill. Make sure the area has no wind or open flame, because you are dealing with a flammable powder.
Disconnect and remove the old cartridge from the drum unit. Hold down the lock lever on one side of the unit that holds the cartridge in place and pull the cartridge out with your free hand.
Remove the new toner cartridge from its packaging. If the cartridge comes with an aluminum bag, place the old cartridge in the bag and dispose of it as your local laws and ordinances require.
Rock the new cartridge gently to each side to make sure the toner is distributed evenly. Remove the protective cover from the cartridge, which is a flat rectangular bracket clipped onto one end of the cartridge.
Insert the cartridge into the drum unit in the same manner the old cartridge fit into it. The cartridge will "click" into place and the lock lever will automatically lift up.
Clean off the corona wire in the drum unit. There is a tab at the end opposite from where you inserted the cartridge. Slide this tab to the right and left several times and then place the tab back into its "home" position.
Load the drum unit back into your printer or copier and close the cover.
Now for the door, it does not seem to carry too much effect during the printing process, it is for the unit not to be looking too messy. There must be something that is not in place for the door not to be covering the way it is meant to. Check for where the springs are meant to be seated and resit it there properly and be sure to check if there is nothing broken on the door.
Hope this information helped. Goodluck Elect_Comp

Unplug the cable that connects the Doc feeder (in the back) to the main unit (two screws hold it on. Then power the unit back up it will work with out the Doc feeder. You will just have to put the copies on the main glass.

Two way to scan to the computer from this model from the USB or the ethernet connection. It depends on how the computer is connected to the computer. If you are connected through the USB than TWAIN scanning is what you will be using. You will need to go to this link to download the driver.

http://usa.kyoceramita.com/americas/jsp/Kyocera/download_center.jsp?pid=14173&pcat=10564&rcid=10009&rscid=10996#bottom

Just copy and paste that link. With Twain scanning you will need a photo edit program to pull the pic into your computer. As for the network scanning using the network port just ask how to scan using the network port that is another beast altogether. Hope this helps.

Cannot print to network printer

Is this printer installed on a server and shared over a network? Or is it installed independently on each workstation?
If it's on a server, printing could be "paused", or set to "use offline" Go to the "printers and Faxes" dialog box, and 'right click" on the printer icon, is there an option to either "resume printing", or "use printer ON line"? If so, select this option.
If it's not on a server then it would be extremely unlikely that this condition would happen on all workstations
Other than that make sure that the Subnet mask is set correctly on the printer.
If that doesn't work....it's probably time to try re-installing the driver.
