I do not have a manual for the IBM wheelwriter 3,

The WW3 resets margins and tabs to default on every power up. If the margins change while you are typing then the silver shaft that nthe carrier slides on is probably gummy. A shot of WD40 on both sies of the shaft shouls free it up.
Go to lexmark.com, click on support you will find a downloadable manual there.

I set my margin all the way to 0. However, after I type and hit a return, the carriage doesn't come back to the left margin. It is almost like it returns to an indented margin. We have 2 typewriter

Your problem is one or more of a few different situations. First, you can clean the shaft that goes through the carriage. Look closely at where the shaft goes through the carriage and there is probably some built up debris (fuzz, hair, dust). remove it with a pointy object. Once this is clean, you can flush it out with some contact cleaner and then put some thin oil on the shaft and move the carriage back and forth. Another part of the problem is the motor that makes the carriage go back and forth. This is called the transport motor. You would have to remove the case to get to it as it probably needs flushing and oiling as well. I do not recommend for a novice to attempt to remove the case as you can break the clips that hold it together.

DOES NOT PRINT

It is probably the print solenoid that has a broken cap. I have seen a few advertisers that sell the repair kit with instructions. It is fairly simple to repair.

Correcting IBM Selectric II Typewritter correcton ribbon won't engage

Selectric I and II type elements are identical (88 char) where Selectric III uses a different element (96 char). The 88 character element will have white lettering and the 96 character element will have yellow. Directly underneath the lift-up tab to remove the element will be a 3-digit number. That's the last 3 digits of the element's part number, which will be preceeded by 1167 for 88 character, or 1352 or 96 character. For example, if you have a '052" stamped on the element, and it's an 88 character style, the P/N will be 1167052.

The correcting mechanism is an intricate additional function of the backspace function. To test it/adjust it/or repair it requires the machine be hand-cycled using a hand cycle wheel which is screwed into the right hand side operational shaft. It's unlikely that an un-trained party would be successful repairing this..

Return key doesnt work and I it won't let me print g or h

This one sounds like the keyboard may have some issues. If so, it is not something you normally can fix yourself. I would suggest you take this one to a qualified service shop for evaluation.

Ibm selectric II typewriter does not come on

Generally the motor bearings get gummed up. There is a hole on each side of the motor. Suggest WD40 to free up the motor shaft. If you are real handy the motor can be disassembled the the bearings cleaned of the gunk and then oiled and reassembled. Not a job for all.
