Magnum OmegaForce S45 CB Radio Questions & Answers
Why won't it power up?
The unit has a diode in it that protects against reverse polarity. IF the polarity was ever wrong, that diode shorts out and will have to be replaced.

I have a magnum omega s 45 hp that goes into hyper scan what can i do
Hi don,Hyperscan is usually, but not the only domain of scanning receivers.Does it affect your Tx or Rx, if not, then there is nothing wrong, but if you want it to stop scanning for an active channel, then press the scan button once to stop it.I hope that answers your query.Cheers,Peter

Display bulbs gone on my magnum deltaforce
Yes! The faceplate will need to be unscrewed from the chasis to do it.
It isn't too tough to do with good eyesight, soldering skills, and a steady hand.

Hi. My Magnum Omegaforce has
Sound like the radio is looking for a ground. I would tell you to take it to a good CB Shop, not all shops work on this radio so be careful and ask them first. But you're touching it or almost touching it is giving it a "False Ground" causing it to hum.

I have a magnum omegaforces45
Go to CH 20 and set radio SWR switch to CAL. (The RF only reduces receiver sensitivity to limit meter needle damage from very high power radios.) Key mic and use the SWR dial to move meter to the "set" mark on the meter. Now set the switch to SWR and key mic. The meter should be below 2 for a good match or below 3 for a fair match. If needle goes into the red or above 4 the antenna will have to be adjusted by using an allen wrench. If SWR it too high the antenna wire will have to be lowered. If it is already as low as possible you may have to trim a minute amount off the wire antenna at the bottom end. Do not trim at the top where there is often a small ball on the end. Before doing any cutting you should get another SWR meter to put in line between the radio and antenna to be sure where the problem is. Also double check all the connections. Make sure the inside wire of the coax is not shorted to the ground side. Sometimes people will forget the nylon insulators when assembling the antenna to the clamps. The lead center wire goes on the bottom bolt using a blue eye connector below the nylon insulators on both sides of the clamp plate. The shielding should be twisted and attached to the mounting plate using a yellow eye connector. Soldering the wire into the eye connectors is recommended. The center wire should not be touching any grounds.

Extndedmods done not problem tansmiting
make sure NO ONE clipped your modulation limiter!!!! the Magnums are way over modulated of a radio. any mods will cause trouble. you are probably getting a feedback making it sound like a roger beep.. also it will depend on your SWR's make sure they are good on the band that you are talking on. ie.. no antenna on the market can work 10-12meters except maybe the 108"whips $17.99 and the predator 10k.... so be sure to check the swr's on ever channel that you would operate on. like ch 19 and 28.xxx and be sure first. high swr's will cause feedback on any radio.

Galaxy 2527 all works except
if you are talking on SSB then their is never a dead key wattage.
SSB uses all modulation, no dead key.

Magnum omega force s45 cuts out
Im a Galaxy man myself and I swear by them .Looks like youve got more than enough power. The mosfets shouldnt have any effect that I recall but be aware that most new C B Radios are going to Mosfets Galaxy being one of them' because of transistors like the 2290 being hard to find and expensive. $20 + a pop.
