its mostly Sounds like you have lost video somewhere in the video circuits. Possibility is that the picture tube could have gone bad or lost filament voltage.
You can check to see if you have high voltage by holding your bare arm close to the screen. The hairs will stand up if you have high voltage. Absence of high voltage will also cause a black screen,but the sound might not work either since on some sets the power for the sound is supplied from the same circuit as the high voltage.

Try a hard restart, which simply means unplugging the power cord of the TV, and replugging it after 4 hours have passed. This technique reprograms the electronics, to a certain extent. If the picture does not return, then you have a more serious problem

Ur computer video mode are setting to high.Go the computer Control Panel change down the resolution like 800 tv resolutions should work fine.

If the noise is louder appears as if sparking inside the set than turn off set as there may be leakage in the EHT (extra high tension transformer) which can be replaced by some technical expert,if the noise is not louder than there is failure of internal power supply,get it repaired by technical expert.

my sansui tv is on no picture is coming but audio is working perfectly why?

Plug the a/v rca cables from the output of the dvd into the cable box then output of the cable box to the tv.
