Probably the driver was affected and it is not listing it ..(would' not recognize it ) ...If you have a time machine on your system and allows you to recover the settings and the drivers you use to have on it ..its the easiest way to do the recover..if not , I suggest to remove the device ...locate and delete all the traces of the old driver-software used to manage it ..and reinstall it from the disk ..or download the driver again from where you first install it ..It is the only way in this case..In normal case it will not need a driver to run it ..cause it has a Core Audio compliant as interface and this is a mac platform ..but ..you may have issues with the firewire driver itself ..and in this case read this article about the same issue ..You may need to reinstall the driver for firewire.... http://www.macgeek.co.za/2007/10/18/fixing-a-broken-behringer-fca202-external-firewire-audio-interface-which-breaks-on-os-10410-update/ This one is about the time machine ..and how to restore..if you used this feature.. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1427 If there are still issues just reinstall the mac os ..and than it will see it automatically like the first time ..

In windows you can find the program you want to run and then tell windows to emulate a previous version. If you are working within VISTA then you right click the actual program ICON (NOt a shortcut on desktop) and choose properties you wll see a tab called COMPATIBILITY. In the top you will RUN THIS PROGRAM IN COMPATIBILITY MODE FOR ######## here you can choose a previous version of Windows such as XP or earlier to use. Try having the program run in compatibility mode to determine if it can find the Sound Card. Its possible a driver update or other Windows update in VISTA is incompatible with the device.
Reinstalled sound drivers?
Checked your speaker cord to make sure it comes into the green hole on the back?
made sure your speaker wires are not broken?
Volum on the speakers?
Control pannel> Sound> Speaker Icon: Are the controls HIGHLIGHTED? If not sound driver is not loaded.
Check Volum MUTE. SOme programs MUTE your volume without a warning.
I had a similar problem where as I could use the mic no problem at all but couldn't hear anything through the headphones. The simple solution was to disable the driver for my internal soundcard. It took me 48 hours to work it out! Good luck.
Yes, it sounds like the ports may be coming loose, I would attempt to return, if out of warranty, find someone that can solder well, i've replaced ports on external hard drives, not fun.
To remove the front panel of the Behringer Europower PMP1280S, you may need to follow these steps:
1. Ensure the device is powered off and disconnected from any power source.
2. Locate all the screws that secure the front panel to the chassis. Based on your description, it seems you have already removed the screws on the front side and the ones on the frame.
3. Sometimes, there may be additional screws hidden beneath labels or rubber feet. Carefully inspect the front panel for any hidden screws and remove them if present.
4. Once all the screws are removed, gently try to pull the front panel away from the chassis. It might be snug due to connectors or clips holding it in place.
5. If the panel still appears to be stuck in the middle, double-check for any screws that may have been missed or hidden. Make sure you have removed all the necessary screws to fully release the front panel.
6. If the front panel remains stuck, do not force it as it could potentially damage the device. Instead, consider consulting the user manual or contacting Behringer customer support for specific instructions or further assistance.
Remember to exercise caution when working with electronic equipment and always refer to the manufacturer's instructions or seek professional assistance if you are unsure.
the green light is power indicator not mic level. the green light should come on when powered up. remove mike cable and the see if green light comes on, If it does power down and connect mike and cable (hopefully you have a good quality one and not a toy)
Call Behringercustomer service. Where did you buy it from, if new it is under warranty and need to replaced with another new one. It is not an audio mixer the yellow and right lights are for clipping.
