Panasonic Technics SL-BD22D Turntable Questions & Answers
What do i ground my turntable to ?
Any metal pipework such as a radiator. In some houses there are electrical earth points, like a metal tag. A green & yellow cable goes to them. It would be safe to use that, with a simple strand of wire, unsheathed wrapped around it, or attached by a crocodile clip.

My turn table is going
Hello the turn table has two speeds. 45rpm and 33rpm (rotations per minute) If you are playing a record that takes up the entire turntable you need to set it on 33rpm. For the records that only take up half of the turntable you want to set it on 45rpm. Setting the turntable on the wrong setting for a certain size record can make the record play to fast of to slow.

THE BELT ON MY TURNTABLE SLIPPED OFF AND NOW I AM
Normally the belt does not go thoough any special tensioners or anything of that nature,The belt should go directly from the spindle motor onto the inside of the platter. Hook the belt on the motor section and lay the belt open wide inside the turntable. Next, replace the platter and manouvre the belt onto the platter inside, through the two large holes. Move by hand slowly to see waht happens. If the belt slips off again, it may be streched and needs to be replaced

The turntable isnt driving at full speed
It looks like a belt driven one to me so that's your first check. It might have become slack an slipped down. If that doesn't solve the problem it could be the motor playing up, or the power to it is weak.

Low volume after refitting belt on Technics SL-BS22B turnrable
check also the wire connections on the pickup head, don't forget to check the connections for the same wires inside the turntable, see if you have a bad solder contact to the output terminals, also check the terminals themselves for any dirt/oxydation (i assume they are RCA's, and they DO loose contact if you plug them in and out a lot). Also check RCA's at the amp end.
good luck

New cartridge for Technics SL -BD22D
the prestige gold might be a little bit of overkill for this turntable meaning the turntable is middle of the road and the cartridge is hi-end.
To get a closer match for your TT try a yahoo search for "AT3482P-DE" (with the quotes) and the result will be the closest match to what this turntable is designed for. also you can find your TT's owner manual here
http://www.vinylengine.com/library/technics/sl-bd22d.shtml but you will have to register to download the free manual. in that manual you will find the shape of the drawings for the cartridge is the same. both made by audio technica

I have a panasonic sa vk880 and it wont give sound outputs, when i click on subwoofer button or surrounded enhancer it says error, please help
Try disconnecting all of the speakers except the left and right main speakers. If it works, check the wiring at the back of each speaker to make sure there aren't any shorts between the terminals. Better yet, just inspect the terminals both at the audio unit and the backs of the speakers. Stray strands of wire reaching across to the other terminal or exposed wire on the other side are a common problem.
If you have that all cleaned up and still have the error, you may have shorted transistors in the output amp of one of the channels, very likely the subwoofer. This may be caused by shorted speaker wiring, or the amp may have failed on its own. In either case, you would have to replace both of the output transistors for that channel (they may be built into a power amp module, in which case the module must be replaced). This requires soldering skill, and the knowledge to identify the transistors and check them with an ohmmeter. Most of the time, it's a basic job for any skilled electronic technician. (I did run into one model that would have required two days of disassembly labor just to get at the failed transistors - I told the customer that wasn't designed for service and he would be better off buying something different to replace it.)
Panasonic SA AKX71 controller
Original CD Stereo System comes with remote control and that does not need to connect. Moreover, buttons and switches are also given for manual use. If you want to use universal remote control, please specify make and model.
