6 yr old machine had slight wining sound then wouldn't spin clothes completely dry now will spin but water won't drain then beeps as needing restarted. Restarted now water won't drain at all.

More than likely there is something caught between the inner & outer bowl, take a torch & check inside the bowl.

Water will not come into the washer but moter is running.I have checked all hoses

shut taps and disconnect hose and place in bucket then make sure water comes out of hose by slowly opening taps. If ok check if the electric valves open by setting first cold then hot on temp button. if hot water only then cold valve is faulty. you should hear a click sound from valves usually situated under control panel. if not then unplug machine, remove control panel and measure resistance on electrical connections of cold and hot valves with ohm meter at around 15 ohm if they are marked 12 v meaning they operate on 12 volts from the control panel computer. if no ohm reading or in the mega ohms replace valve. you can swap the wires between cold and hot if cold valve is faulty and use the hot valve for cold wash only then you wont have hot water. If both valves ohms around 15 ohm then plug in and measure voltage at valve when machine starts you should get 12 volts on valves.( be careful for mains high voltage from mains wire entering panel when measuring keep hands clear of mains voltage and any water from panel. If no voltage may then be computer panel faulty. check connections from valve connectors to panel and connectors on panel may be loose if not check voltage on panel where wires connect to computer panel if no voltage then make sure the water level valve is not stuck in closed position that will tell the computer the machine is full of water. just remove one or two wires from the level control valve (the level valve is a round plastic valve about the size of a small cup and has wires and a thin plastic pipe connected to it )and start machine if water enters then replace level valve if not maybe its computer board fault, replace. (you can test level valve with ohm meter and blow into the place where the pipe is connected by removing pipe it should click and ohm meter should show around 0.2 ohms when blowing and high ohms when not blowing.) some click twice as they have two levels.

Why is my fisher & paykel washing machine leaking into the drum from the nozzle spr? I have replaced it once and it quit leaking for about a week, but is leaking again.

Barring another bad water inlet valve, one train of thought is that the PRV (Pressure Regulator) Valve to your house is bad. Go to the hardware store and buy a water pressure gauge. Screw it on to an outside faucet (where you hook up your garden hose). Then turn the outside faucet on and check the pressure reading. It should be between 30 and about 70 psi. If it is above 75 psi, your PRV valve to the house is bad and needs to be replaced by a plumber. Good luck!

Why do I not have power or anything light up on panel?

Sorry to hear about that. Your F&P probably doesn't have the modification to drain pump wires from the main board. So, your main board got fried when your pump went out. You're going to need a new main board AND a new pump. The new pump should come with an inline fuse and instructions on how to install it.

Washing machine fills and agitates but won't spin or drain, just hums.

When the machine beeps it is giving you a code with the 8 wash progress lights along the top. Some will be on some will be off. With OFF = Zero and On = 1 Can you give me the 8 digit code. An example is (01001001) It is normal for the pump motor to get very very warm. Make sure you can spin the pump impeller easily.

How do I get the hot water work for my Fisher & Paykel Eco Smart washer?

How hot is the water temp in the house that you are in? If the inlet hose to the washer is not hot, then it is not the washing machine.

How do I see what is causing my Fisher & Paykel EcoSmart washer to leak water?

If it is leaking when draining this would point to the main seal of the WATER PUMP. (Quite common for older machines.) The pump can be easily removed by leaning the machine backwards, remove wires and see picture. NOTE: about half a litre of water will gush out so it is best to take machine outdoors. Go to a recycling centre or online auction for a replacement. They can be fiddly to replace. 07635ce2-2056-4d6b-9133-2207746d7038.jpg

My washer has just started

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
(pre-typed to cover hot and/or cold!)

This is symptomatic of a malfunctioning (not closing completely) water control valve

With power off, if it is hot AND cold fill, turn one or the other off and see which one is causing the problem. Sorry but it needs replacing and a service call ;-0(
If it's cold fill only it's clear which one!!
If is only happens when there is power on it could be the PCB malfunctioning and will require checking by the service call.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Motor or bearing sounds bad, how do you replace it

You have to unscrew certain body areas to get into the motor area depending on the make and the first thing I would check is see if the belt is shot. A bad belt will make noises as well as cause slipping. If the belt is ok check the shafts and see if there is play like movement if you push up or down . If it's the motor you may have to replace or take it to a repair shop if you don't understand how to do it. It does take some work to change a bearing

Access to motor

Lean the machine back onto a chair and the motor is underneath. In the picture it is grey but most are white. The nut in the middle is undone easily. 08532030-3b02-4e93-85bc-a4c0c57986c5.jpg

Gw609 nz fp is blocked how to unblock it

If the machine is still full of water you will have to empty as much as you can with a pot or bowl. Then take the machine outside and lean it backwards onto a chair or box. At the front underneath, remove the 3 wires to the pump and by pulling the white lever upwards (pictured) and turn the pump anticlockwise. This will take a bit of force. Pull out the pump. The water will gush out. Stand the machine up to remove the rest of the water. A common cause that stops the pump is hair-clips etc. You then should be able to blow freely down the main drain hose. Replace the pump tightly and fit the wires. Good luck. a2c1ff6a-e5d4-46fb-b858-6e1a8db7e5ad.jpg

Fisher and Paykel EcoSmart GWL15 won't drain at the end of it's cycle. I put it in diagnostic mode and the got it to drain that way. I ran another cycle and it wouldn't drain on it's own again. Put it

Hello Robert. If you have heard any kind of squeaking or squealing or rattling while the pump was running, replace the pump. You mention a humming noise. Also a sign to replace the pump. When FP pumps fail, they will not spin at the correct speed and that is why when you run it in diag mode you can pump out the water as it runs until you stop it, but will not drain in a normal cycle. Be VERY careful when you replace the pump. Make sure you get no water in the new pump windings when replacing the pump or you will WILL take out the machine controller. Pump p/n is 479595
