Fisher and Paykel GW712 Washing Machine - beeping & flashing continuously

We're wondering if we can fix this problem without having to spend $ on a technician. Machine was working fine until we moved it to clean behind. Now when you turn the POWER button on, it flashes 2 yellow lights in the program lineup (5th and 6th from the right) and the red spin (the 1st on the right). It beeps continuously unless you press another button but even then, the flashing lights stay flashing and nothing happens.

Would very much appreciate any help you can give us!
With thanks
Paul and Julie, Sydney

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

Rate me pl.....if helped. Click on 'thanks for trying' if not helped, your prob will be back for someone else to solve.

Fisher and Paykel Washer Leaking

My Fisher and Paykel washing machine leaks when filling and most other times, too. Upon visual inspection, the spin tub - a flexible plastic outer tub from the metal inner clothes tub - has holes in it near the fill hose. It looks like it has been rubbing while the maching is spinning and has now worn through allowing fill water and spin water to leak out. How do I remove and replace the spin tub? Also, is this problem just an indication of another problem, maybe an unlevel machine?

For those with water on floor after wash, check my post on "eco smart won't drain, smells hot". It could be something clogging drainage area at very bottom of the tub. I couldn't see the sock that was stuck in my FP's drain when I looked from the top between the white outer tub and the wash tub--everything looked fine. Then I removed the black motor/white plastic housing piece--Tip back washer and you should see this black electric motor/white housing on bottom. see my post for how to remove and check for plugged drain. it's really pretty easy.

don't know about outer tub holes, but glad i don't have that problem.

i hate my fisher paykel washer/dryer. i can't wait to sell this house--i will leave them here and get a new front load Duette for my next house!

washing machine makes buzzing noise

Our Fisher & Paykel washing machine has started making an intermittent loud, low, buzzing noise. It often happens during the spin cycle, but can also happen when the washer is not spinning and the door is unlocked. It usually only lasts for a few seconds, but happens frequently. It might be happening when the washer fills, but I'm not sure

Check the water pump for an obstruction in the chamber area, your pump may be sticking and that will cause the buzzing sound. The water pump runs during the fill portion of the cycle on several of the selected wash cycles to recirculate the water.

Fisher-Paykel washer pump noise & some water left in tub

Hello, I have a Fisher-Paykel washer. It make a loud noise during different phases of the washing cycle. I took the tub out to see if there was anything blocking the pump inlet, but it was clear. There was about a gallon of water in the bottom. I don't know if this is normal or not. When I put it into the diagnostic mode with the tub out and ran the pump. I put some more water in there. The pump came on, it pumped out the water, when almost all the water was out of it is when it started making the loud noise. This is the same noise it makes when running a load of clothes. I tested the recirculation port to see if that worked ok. It sent out all kinds of water.
The washer seems to work ok other then the loud noise the pump is making. I spun the pump motor by hand to see if it was locking up. I could spin it easy, but it seemed a little rough and loud when spinning it by hand. Mabe it's because I took all of the water out. I checked the line coming out of the pump to see if it was stopped up. It was clear.
What next? Do I shoot it? Thanks for your time, Skip Pico

Lube the brass bearings on the motor. For some reason the bearing on the bottom nearest to the cooling fan will start to whine. I would guess because it's kicking dust up around the unit. I used a lube that will hold in place. Lube between the bracket that holds the motor together and by the fan. The noise should stop. I also suggest you lube the top bearing as well. The lube I recommend is a Silicone paste type.

fisher and paykel out of balance switch fault

Machine should reset when it has regained "balance". It is possible the the OOB switch lever is stuck on the tub ( it is under the top in the right corner and hangs parallel to the tub ). Move tub around and reset load. Sometimes the OOB switch get corroded or breaks and needs to be replaced in order to clear the fault. Call F/P.

Sounds much like the rubber diaphragm in the water inlet valve is split, which means that as long as the water tap is on you will get that drip drip drip of water into the machine.
You can still use the machine until you fix the problem, but the most obvious short term thing to do is to turn the water taps off when the machine is not in use.
To determine which machine inlet valve is leaking, turn on both taps, then turn off, first the HOT water tap as this is more often than not the least used. If the leaking persists, then it is the Cold Water Inlet Valve you need to replace on your machine.
While this repair can be done by a suitably skilled handyman, I always urge caution, because the average guy may just not have as well instilled "Safety Consciousness" as the professional technician who does this sort of thing all the time.
Remember, you are dealing with 240v A.C. which can deliver a LETHAL shock.......so unplug the power cord when doing any work as the least of safety steps to take. It only takes one forgetful mistake which could result in injury or worse!

To lock the size into memory.
Press SPIN SPEED UP, the SPIN HOLD LED is on for 7.5 / 8.0kg (650mm wide).
Press POWER to confirm the setting and also exit this mode.
