How do i reset my wireless router?
Simply turn it off, leave it off for 30 seconds, and then turn it back on. Unplugging and replugging has the same effect.

I have a zhone router,
It would really help to know the model number. Ordinarily to connect to a router you need to do a couple of things. Typically you start with a hard wire connection between your computer and the router in order to set it up, then you can use the wireless if it has wireless.
Here are a few typical steps to set up a new connection:
1. check under CONTROL PANEL - DEVICE MANAGER to make sure you have a working ethernet and/or wireless adapter
2. look in NETWORK CONNECTIONS to make sure that the LAN (when setting it up) is enabled and configured. You should have a CLIENT (microsoft), TCP/IP and printer and file sharing if you'll be sharing across a home network. HIGHLIGHT TCP/IP and click on properties.
3. Most people have CONFIGURE AUTOMATICALLY checked if you're using DHCP. However you can setup a static IP number (it must have the same first three numbers as the router uses ie 192.168.1.x and the gateway needs to be the same number as the router, ie 192.168.1.1 in your case given that the default ip number is that (make sure that is correct. Not all routers use that default ip). The DNS will be the ip numbers your ISP uses for DNS.
4. Go to RUN and type in CMD. A small DOS window will pop up that has a flashing cursor after a string of words. Type in this " ping 192.168.1.1 ". This will tell you if your pc is actually reaching the router. If it reports back ping times you're connected. If it can't reach the router it will tell you so.
5. Go to IE and in the address line type in the router number ie 192.168.1.1 It should go to the routers interface where you will be asked a login and password. It will be the default for your router model unless you've already set it up with something else. Often the defaults are "admin" and "admin" , sometimes it's 'administrator'. You'll have to look in your manual to know for sure.
That should get you into the router where you can set up the rest that you need to.
If you can not ping the router or get on the interface check: 1. all the connections between router and pc 2. double check the default ip number for the router You might need to reset the router to get back to the defaults, typically by pushing a button called RESET. Double check that your network adaptor is turned on and running.
Note some finicky routers have their own software for set up they prefer to use.

I dnt know my WPA
Theencryption key secures your data from unauthorized access.
The router's password is a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA orWPA2 encryption key.
The Passphrase generates the WEP or WPA or WPA2 encryptionkey and this is in the router's wireless settings.
To connect to your wireless router, configure the router'swireless settings ie SSID, plus the WPAor WPA2 encryption key and then configure wireless cards in the Xbox, laptops and orcomputers with these router's wireless settings. Then the Xbox, laptops and desktopcomputers can communicate with your wireless router.

Admin for password
Open your Web browser, and type the following URL in the address/
location box, and press Enter:
http://192.168.1.1
Default:
Username is admin
password is admin
If you forgot your PWD, you will need to reset the router:
In general, to reset the router to the Factory Default Settings, please follow these steps:
1. Turn off the router
2. Locate the Reset button on the back of the router.
3. Use a paper clip to press the Reset button and power on.
4. Hold for about 5 seconds (don't hold too long) and then release.
5. After you have completed the above steps, the router will be reset to the factory default settings

Seems you forgot everything.
1. You could try the default username : admin with password : admin or username : user with password : user
2. if those not working you can reset your ADSL modem to the factory reset by push the "reset to default button" in the back panel, this will bring your modem to the very first time condition. Use the method 1 to login.
cheers

If you don't know the password, all you need to do is reset your router, then it will be all factory defaults again.
The default user name is Admin and the password is Admin.
