How to repair with Toshiba copier 2060
lan lam... "insert key counter" means that the machine has an external control device. Usually a small box the size of a pack of ciggerettes or smaller) with a mechanical counter that needs to be inserted into a port on the machine in order for it to operate. Companies used this to "control" and/or track machine usage by department or person. It may be that your machine has one but it's not inserted well enough, or you are missing the counter comepletely. If you don't have one of these control devices, you will probably need a certified technician to come out and disable this feature.

Morning,
1650 machine is a medium size machine for small offices and home users. The machine is equipped with a self diagnostic function so it displays an error code whenever its processor detects a problem during copy process.
Some codes can be reset by simply opening and closing the front door or by turning the machin on and off, but there are some others that can be reset only by a service representative. C 6000 code is one of them. There are several causes that lead to this problem, i;e:
1. Unstable power source
2. Low volatage
3. Broken thermisted wire
4. Poor contact in the thermister connector terminals.
5. Heater lamps are broken or not installed correctly.
Here is the process to reset c 6000.
Enter 1087-1087 (1087 twice) from the keypad.
U000 will be displayed.
Enter 163 by using the keypad keys.
Press "Start" (the green button) twice.
The code will be reset and machine will start automatically.
If this code is appeared again, you may need to check the fusing section of the machine and it shoud be done only by a service engineer.

Need help

E1 is paper jam inside machine, look for paper on sensor
Toshiba printer e-studio 150
There is a small clear plastic circle under where the paper comes out, it has two positions, lock and unlock, sometimes when people grab the copies they bump it to lock, use a flash light and make sure its unlocked, you can also just remove it, it was there for shipping. L-codes = scanner lock problems, real cold conditions can cause the scanner greases to not allow the scanner to move fast enough, put the copier somewhere warm. Good Luck!!!

J messages on Xerox machines always refer to toner or drum.Is the toner out , you could give it a shake (might be a good idea to go outside!) Sometimes it will run out without displaying a message(Pyramid of dots for out of toner) Drum end of life usually comes up with a crossed circle or similar .If all OK you could have a blocked toner supply auger or lumps caused by storing toner in sunlight, both would require the toner system being vacuumed out.
Problem while copying
O.K. guys,
the problem is with the smaller glass on the left.
Lift the top and look at the small glass on the left, is there a dot, whiteout, dirt etc... on there? that is what's making your lines. clean with alcohol or mild cleanser.
Light copies
toner sensor not set properly, or the toner sensor is bad. what is the make and model, it would help to solve your problem faster.
Copier problems
Sounds like its stuck, try removing the glass and moving the scanner assy. manualy. move it all the way to each side then put in the middle. turn the power on and watch it,if you still have the problem you most likely will have a bad home switch or sensor.
