This radio is equipped with an anti-theft device, if the battery power is disconnected from the radio for more than a few minutes, it goes into lockdown or "protect" mode. The only way to get the code is to call the manufacturer with the product number and serial number, generally they will verify your identity and then provide you with the unlock code.

What do you mean when you ask that? The enclosure size is the same to all the vehicles. The voltage is also the same to all the vehicles excepting trucks where is double. The speakers can be changed by your pleasure. So, I don't see anything else.

I have a kenwood deck
ok first of all have you tried to run any thing else off the amplifier?
# even if you had the rca's connected to say "front speaker" output you would still be able to get noise out of the xlc's. i know this is going to sound silly but have you connected the RCA's to the amplifiers "RCA ouput" jacks?
another possibility is that amp is going into protect mode because of a bad connection somewhere, possibly in one of the power lines? if the metal inside the sheath touches any part of your cars body it will short, stopping your amp from working.
# another silly one, but one often overlooked, "incorrect fuse amperage"
# or possibly the mosfets have blown in the amplifier.
# last but DEFINITELY not least, if you can tell me the model number to your kenwood source unit i can get more information on it. It is distinctly possible that you need to turn the subs "on" on the head unit. which would be done through the sound settings menu.
i hope i have helped, again any more information you can provide will help me narrow you problem down.
feel free to contact me if this has not solved your problem.
Oh and dont forget to rate my solution.
cheers

I have to reset radio
sounds like you don't have the acc cable connected to a none switching power supply. (aka memory power) it needs power all the time for the memory. (key on or off )

Protect keeps flashing on my kenwood
It is possible that you have a failure in the powerr section/ power audio output of the set that is protecting the set from furrther damage. First of all disconnect the speakers and check if the protect changes. If so your speakers are shorted, take a test and confirm. If not you will have to take out the set and open to probe into the main board. I would advice this only is you are familiar to do such work or else take help to investigate into the board for possible shorting of the output, the possible failure of mechanism drives, motors or power regulators. The set has to be powered to take the voltage test, disconnect the efffected or faulty section for the protect error statement to change. Now you can replace this component. Hope you fine this adive helpful Good day

Clock display on KDC-MP235
I've found the manual to be inaccurate as far as setting the clock. To display the clock, hold down the right knob, then choose Freq or Clock. Push again to set. Easy.
To set the clock, push the source button until you're in standby mode. Hold the left knob down (volume ctrl) until menu comes up. Either push the left knob OR move the right up or down (can't remember which) until you see Clk Adj. Push the vol ctrl knob (I think). Then, the knob on the right goes left right for minutes/hours, and up/down for the other. I believe you can push the vol knob then once its set.
