They are not in your agitator. they are in the pump on the bottom left if you are standing behind the machine. Be VERY careful. That litle pump seems to be the beginnig of many leaking problems.

• I called Whirlpool 1-800-253-1301 today 10/15/08 and they said the F1 issue is now under a recall.
• Whirlpool scheduled a repair service -during our phone call- to repair this under a 'recall' & at 'No Charge' to me.
• I'll let you all know how it goes after the repair..

F1 means the control board is shot. Call whirlpool and they should take care of the parts and labor even though your machine is out of warranty.

We have the same problem with our BRAND NEW Cabrio - and those white dusty spots with our old washer were a major reason for getting a new washer. Very disappointing. I believe the white dust is also on light clothing but we can't see it. Since most of the "answers" are obviusly wrong (we already use liquid detergent, already use the auto dispenser, and nothing is blocked because ti's BREAND NEW), we've taken to wiping down the washer basket before we run our clothes. It seems wasteful to run Afresh every week before we do laundry. But wiping out the drum with a cloth works.

If you turn off the hot water line, and you have cold water then suspect the water inlet valve. Unplug the unit and turn off the water to disconnect the water hoses. Pull out the washer and remove the back of the unit by the water hose inlet. The new valve is around $65.00 and is on connectors, which make it an easy fix.

sounds like the bearing is tarting to get worn out

If you mean its leaking anytime you have water in the drum,the first thing to check is the drain hose connection at the back of the washer,You'll want to do this with the washer pulled out,(don't let the drain hose drop below the water level or you'll have a mess)If its not leaking there you should be able to look under the washer & see which connection it is(usually the inlet to the pump) Might be as simple as tightening the hose clamps.Hope this helps

Either your drain pump has failed or there is a coin or other object in the drain pump stopping it from pumping. I have both cleaned and replaced many of these pumps. Hope that helps.

LD is a long drain error.
Clean the lint out of the drain pump.

Hi A Door Lock Error occurs if the door cannot be locked. It will try to lock it six times before displaying the error code. It has happened because Door lock mechanism is broken or removed from door. It may also happen due to Door switch/lock unit failure. To resolve the issue follow these steps---1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.2. Check door switch/lock unit.3. It seems that it needs cleaning... you can run your washer with nothing inside it at its hottest temperature setting with 2 cup of vinegar inside the unit. After this clean the drain pump assembly completely, also clean the drain hose and drain pump filter, the spots should disappear after doing all this.
