Hobart HL200-1STD Mixer - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Bowl lift lever on hobart HL200 loose, can't lift the mixing bowl
check inside the machine housing the part where the handle is moving but the rest of assembly is not it could be a pin has dropped out. use something like a nail etc to block this part so that the handle turns the assembly. until you can get a replacement.
if this is not the case then a part is broken and needs replacing.
see manual at this link.
https://manualsbrain.com/en/manuals/1275564/?page=61
see part pin PS-004-15 this could be the problem on pages regarding base and pedestal you can see the lifter assembly diagram here and a list of parts if replacements are needed.
also to reduce wear on this lifter ensure the bowl holding arms sliding rails are kept clean and lubricated. if they get fouled up with flour etc this over time, plus the weight of the bowl can cause excessive strain on the lifter assembly.
I hope this was helpful.

Why is oil leaking down into the mixing bowl on the Hobart HL200 Mixer
There is a leaking gasket. The OIL is from the Grease applied to the gears. It may have somewhat turned a portion of lube to a liquid state due to heat within the motor housing during use. The OIL as you put it, could also leak out from the port where you insert the beaters. If so there is also a set of seals to prevent that from happening, and if they are worn or damaged, leaking can occur. This unit needs a professional serviceman to fix the problem.

My Hobart Mixer AF 200,
In
what speed is it slipping? You only use 1st speed for dough, right?
Can
you put it in gear and stop the hook from moving with your hand?In that case problem is in spring clip.
if you are using greater speed this will generally happen
in the200a mixer there is no cluch it is direct gear driven.
if it is slipping it caused bt a bad gear or gear pin. this is a key
way that locks the gear to the shaft. rebuildlig could cost big bucks

Hobart A200 mixer won't start no power, any suggestions of next steps?
My experience with electrics has mostly been coffee grinders, hand held food blenders and vacuum cleaners but these are the checks I do. Sadly you'll have to open her up again to do these.
Personally I wouldn't use compressed air. Some compressor pressures can be a bit too powerful. I would suggest a vacuum. Stick the foot end of a pair of tights (pantyhose) over the nozzle that way you get suction but you don't lose nuts and screws up into the vacuum.
Opening her up again might reveal a loose wire you missed rebuilding it. That was my issue with a vacuum cleaner I rebuilt.
-Turn the motor by hand using the shaft the blade bolts to. Your feeling for it smoothly and quietly turning. If it's gritty, noisy or your getting tight spots there's dirt or something inside or a bearing is worn out.
-Test for voltage at every point where a wire ends and connects to something else like switches, circuit boards and the motor itself.
-Disconnect the wires to the motor and test for Continuity. Set your Multi meter to Ohms (the little horse shoe symbol) and touch the test probes, one each motor terminal. You should get a very low number somewhere near zero. Most multimeters will beep when you have continuity. If you get an 'L' or 'OL' there's a short or a broken wire.
-I would then do the same test across all the switches on the machine, wires off and test the switch. Just because they move doesn't mean they're working.
These steps usually work for me so give them a try, the multimeter won't hurt the machine.

Hobart A200 transmission, marble sounds, resistance with shaft support installed
It sounds like there may be a few potential issues that could be causing the resistance you are experiencing:
- Incorrect installation of the slow speed gear or key - If the slow speed gear or key were installed incorrectly, this could cause increased resistance in certain gears. Double-check the installation of these components to ensure they are properly oriented and positioned.
- Stuck gears - If the gears and key are stuck on the drive shaft, this could cause increased resistance. Try removing the gears and key again, and make sure they are clean and free of any debris before re-installing them.
- Improper alignment of the gears - If the gears are not properly aligned, this could cause increased resistance. Check to make sure the gears are properly seated and aligned with each other.
- Damage to the worm wheel - The freshly chewed up center of the worm wheel could be causing increased resistance. Consider replacing the worm wheel if it appears to be damaged.
Overall, it may be helpful to consult the Hobart service manual for your specific model to ensure all components are installed correctly and to troubleshoot any additional issues that may be causing the resistance.
