You have to get owner's manual and erase and then set up NetCommand from the scratch. It is pretty complicated procedure that could be done only with constant reference to manual instructions if person have no previous experience with Net Command setting. You have to activate/deactivate and name every input that you are using.
Good Luck!

I have Mitsubishi WD-Y57 DLP.
I have the same TV. Mine is almost 3 years old. From what I've learned you should try to reset the TV. There is a small button in the front input compartment. Use a pen to push that in and wait for the green light to stop blinking. Then try the TV.
If that does not work you probably need a new lamp. Apparently the lamps only last for a couple years on average. Having to replace them can really add to the cost of buying/owning one of these TV's
Remote Control doesn't work
It may be the sensor in remote or tv. The only way to tell is to get an orgional replacement from manuafacture, or get a universal. Much cheaper and easier than testing or replacing sensor.
Screen is not as bright
Time for a replacement bulb.
If you feel ok replacing the the bulb yourself, they are available on the internet at a good cost.
If you don't, bring it into a service center near you. They normaly charge around $100-$200 to replace the bulb.

Call Mitsubishi. They have extended their warranties on certain DLP's, because of a faulty thermal sensor. I just had mine fixed at no cost by an authorized service provider.

My tv blinks 6x red and 1x yellow. whats that mean?
Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, or the LED light stationery; the main board is faulty.
