Hello,
Thanks for choosing
fixya.
The problem you have here with the lamp warning light could be a sign that the bulb needs
replacement soon or you have a bad sensor on the lamps ballast.
I am glad your able to get the TV to come on and do hope its nothing major as it does not seem to be anything major.
You might want to ether get a estimate on the sensor itself or purchase the part effected.
Here is a list of parts
available for your TV
http://www.partstore.com/Model/Mitsubishi/Mitsubishi/WDY57.aspx?SearchTerm=True
if your less experienced with repair and need further
assistance we do have chat sessions that run $20 bucks witch we can
help you if you have the part in hand with a
step by step
procedure to save you even more cash. But if you rather not do it yourself you might want to consult a local tv shop. Please present your zip code and I can look up some local help for you if needed.
VERY IMPORTANT
You never want to open the back of the TV, unless you are certain you can handle it on your own. Most cases here its a sensor that is past its prime or the bulb might be the case.
