Sennheiser HDR120 - missing transmitter / alternative OR replacement?

The system is working in the 860 Mhz range, so not that common. Most of the time it is cheaper to by a complete new system then to tray to buy components. Just keep looking in the thrift stores you find a transmitter for this headphone for a good price.

While i am listening ,

With wireless headphones, a beeping signal most often means one of two things, a low battery or a bad signal. Please try the steps below to hopefully solve the beeping problem:
1. Turn off the headphones for a few seconds, then turn them back on while holding the button below the volume dial (look for signal button) for 5-10 seconds
2. If the above does not solve the beeping, then I would try to replace the batteries with either another set of NiMH rechargeable batteries or any other standard AA.
Hope this helps.

Headphones not working

Check the plug - see if any wires have been severed. Also, measure the contacts for 8 to 16 ohms impedance. If you don't get a reading then the headphone speakers are shot.

My cordless HDR 130 Sennheiser headphones no

The batteries are at end-of-life OR your charger has failed.

Forst replace the batteries... they are MOST likely bad. Charge the new ones before using.

Have a TR130. Unit is 5 plus years old. Original batteies

Being over 5 years, I know these batteries don't last that long typically. But even if you change the battery this problem still occurs, I see:
http://www.fixya.com/support/t2397503-sennheiser_tr130_headphones_hdr130

Get your multimeter and try measuring the battery voltage when they were out and when they were in with the thing turned on. If the volts don't change more than millivots (small), then it's not the batteries.
Check the REC OUT to make sure it's not set to PHONO it should be on SOURCE. You should be able to hear a little bit of static if it's normal.
Did you try changing channels? I thought the channel switch was a rotating knob, but it's not -- it's a push button that toggles from 1 to 2 to 3, and takes a few seconds to auto-fine tune on the frequency. Try changing the frequency and waiting five to ten seconds between button pushes to see what happens.

You really should get some new batteries if the above information doesn't resolve it, new AAA rechargeable batteries should.

Have not used them for a while

These systems have some signal detection, so needs an input to fire it all up. That is the same for the greenlight, when initially switched on for my HDR 120.

On/Off not lit when plugged in

There is help for this in the user manual. Possible solutions I would try:

1. Make sure your source sound (TV, amp etc) is up high enough - if the sound is too low the headphones won't detect a signal.

2. Try changing the channel (the switch on the bottom left of the cradle base) and pressing the "Tune" button on your headphones. Try all three positions, pressing "Tune" at least 3 times in each position.

3. Take out batteries & turn off base, leave for 30 secs, reassamble and try step 2 again.

Should all work ok. I've been using mine for over a year and they're great!

Sennheiser RS 175 TV headset has green lit power light blinks on and off. And headset doesnt have any volume. Help!

If your Sennheiser RS 175 TV headset has a green lit power light that blinks on and off and doesn't have any volume, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Check the batteries: Ensure that the batteries are charged and inserted correctly into the headset. You may also want to try replacing the batteries with fresh ones.
  2. Check the audio source: Make sure that the audio source is turned on and the volume is turned up. You may also want to try connecting the headset to a different audio source to see if the problem is with the source.
  3. Check the audio cable: If you are using an audio cable to connect the headset to the audio source, make sure that it is plugged in securely at both ends.
  4. Reset the headset: Try resetting the headset by turning it off, unplugging the transmitter from the power source, waiting for a few minutes, and then plugging the transmitter back in and turning the headset on again.
  5. Check for interference: Make sure that the transmitter and headset are not too far apart or obstructed by walls or other objects. Also, ensure that there are no other devices nearby that may be causing interference.
If none of these troubleshooting steps work, you may need to contact Sennheiser customer support or take the headset in for repair.
