not trying to be a smart a** but which of the two do you have? 1. A flashing blue light indicates that the battery is running low on charge. 2. A fast flashing blue light indicates no power or a temporary fault (e.g. check filter or for blockages). FYI....A solid blue light indicates that the battery is charging. No light indicates the battery is fully charged. A solid amber light indicates that the battery is not charging due to a temporary fault (e.g. too hot/cold). A flashing red light indicates that there is a fault, call the Dyson Helpline. Best to you.

You will have to send it back to Dyson for service. There are parts available, but nothing related to the motor. My guess is the start capacitor on the motor. Dyson have completely disowned this model and many others. No spares, or very limited availability, so service, no support. Try and find a local vacuum guy. I need one as well.
