My frigidaire does do final spin clothes are soaked

No spin, try these: Using a multi meter check for continuity the door switch, which when bad may not allow agitation or spin. The lid switch assembly can fail either mechanically or electrically. Check the clutch, brake assembly and transmission, one way to check for slipping is to get under the machine after a spin cycle ( this is if u get a lil spin but not much leaving clothes still wet) mix in a spray bottle a lil water and some dish detergent, then spray it on the clutch assembly ( the metal round pc. Connected to the tranny) if it sizzles and steams up then u know its bad and slipping. Another way to check clutch if u get no spin at all? Is to take it out and use ur hand to try and turn the inner spring assembly pushing it around the inside? If its very easy, it BAD should be hard to push by hand. Next check the motor coupler which engages the tub and tranny to the motor. ( if its bad u usually get no wash or spin or very little of either) Next check for a loose, worn or broken belt if belt driven. On some front load models u may need to check the STATOR assembly. The stator is essentially one half of a motor, it interacts with the tub by creating a strong electro-magnet. If the stator burns out the washer won't spin or agitate. Check the stator for continuity. This part is often misdiagnosed.

No cold water,only hot

Good Afternoon Leonard, thank you for your inquiry! If the washer was recently installed or moved to a different location, confirm that the hoses are connected correctly. Otherwise, the unit may be experiencing a communication issue with the control not responding accordingly or have a faulty water valve. At this point, I would recommend having a service technician to diagnose the problem before investing in unnecessary parts. Experienced techs also usually warranty their labor just in case something else is the root cause of your initial problem.

HOW TO CLEAR THE LOC CODE ON MY FRIGIDAIRE WASHER

This means that the child lock (control lock) feature is active. There will be a button (or pair of buttons) depending on the model that you need to press and hold to toggle off the feature. If it is a single button, there will be a tiny padlock icon on the button. If you need to press and hold two buttons, the padlock symbol will be in a line indicating both buttons. A likely combination is the Select and Option buttons. These should be held together for 10+ seconds. (This is the combination for some Affinity washers.) If this doesn't work and you can't see a lock icon, please add a comment with the model number of your washer. I'll be glad to check what the combination is for your washer. The model number is usually on a plaque on the rim of the door for front loading washers or at the back at the top of the drum for a top loading washer. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells (the control lock prevents someone from accidentally changing the cycle or a child starting a wash cycle with the cat or another child in the unit)

I have a model FWT867GHS0

HI,
Check back of washe with a flashlight for a bent or clogged drain hose. Do not move washer to check it. When you move it , it will straighten out and you will never know if it was bent
Also while it is pumping , pick up end of drain hose at drain and observe the volume of water being pumped.
If no water then the Pump may need replaced
Thank you for using fixya

Front Washer model FWT645RH50.

If the tub will not agitate or spin the clothes out, your suspicions are correct. You will need to replace the "control assembly". Just remove the 2 screws on the front bottom kick plate and remove it. The controller is located on the right back side of the unit. Here is a link to the new controller.

Our tumble action front-loader washer

Thanks for stopping by:

This is from not enough HOT loads.

Fatty deposits gather between the basket and tub during COLD washes.

Then they are being released in large numbers when you do your whites on HOT.

It is recommended to do 1 HOT load per week.

Do an empty load with some de-greaser added (like Goo-Gone) on the fullest/hottest setting you have.

Thanks for using FixYa!!

I have a Frigidaire ATF7000EG0 that does not spin.

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa

It sounds like (based on your initial description) the unit is detecting an incomplete drain or an unlocked door, hence the control will not initiate a hi-speed spin.

I know most folks will rule out the lock initially because the unit does indeed "lock", however, the lock on these machines are a two part device, a set of contacts to lock and a secondary contact to activate hi-speed spin, It may simply only manifest intermittently.
this is the latch/lock assy, i.e.

macmarkus_339.jpg
If it does indeed drain fine as you posted, then here's the next place I'd direct you to investigate.

**Unplug the unit from the wall first...safety first**

If these things can be ruled out, then it is quite likely the door switch, so here's how to change/access the latch assembly...

**The door latch is likely the single most common fault (which prevent's any spin, and consequently drenching wet clothing at the end of the cycle) with the frigidaire/electrolux built washer's, ASIDE FROM PUMPS BEING OBSTRUCTED.**

You should be able to purchase one at most local brick & mortar stores or on-line part's depot's such as "searspartsdirect.com" "repairclininc.com" to name a couple. They usually sell for about $50 or so, part # 1531974 ( # at repairclinic.com ) and are relatively easy to replace. It should resemble the image here...

As for replacing said switch, There are a couple ways to access it, through the top and squeezing your arm down the front or the way I prefer, remove the front bellows spring/retainer.

1) **UNPLUG THE WASHER FROM THE WALL OR TURN OFF THE BREAKER.**

2) Remove the spring, get it started where the spring is located with a small screwdriver. Once you`ve got the spring/retainer off ( it comes off and on pretty easy by hand ) pull the gasket/bellows back away from the cabinet.

3) Undo the two screws holding the switch to the cabinet, pull the switch out ( there is just enough slack in the wires so don`t pull too hard ) and swap the wires from the old assembly to the new one and you`re in business.

4) To put it back together, just reverse the removal procedure. The trickiest part is the retainer. Rap the retainer around the boot leaving the spring for the last...and make sure the spring is located at the 6 o`clock position...usually. Just wherever it was initially.

Let me know if you need further assistance going forward or if my instructions are not clear and I'll try and help in any manner I can. If this does indeed resolve the problem please take a moment to write a brief testimony and a favourable rating is also appreciated.

Thank's again for visiting FixYa today. Good luck.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

The door to my washer

A possible simple repair can be attempted at the hinge of the door place a towel/washcloth/or other suitable clothing to add a soft jamming space and GENTLY!!! push the DOOR in an attempt to close it, place one hand at the normal closing area and the other opposite 1/3 of the way from the hinge. If there is not enough wedge fold over garment at hinge and make it thicker do this until door will close properly.

It will not let the

First try pressing the start and cancel buttons for about 3 seconds and see if there is an error code, then you can troubleshoot from there....Have you checked the drain lint trap? It is inside the accordian looking drain hose that attaches the drum to the pump. It may be clogged. Use a wet/dry shop vac to remove as much water as possible. Unplug the machine. then remove front panel and remove clamps to check if it is clogged. Hopefully that is the problem!

Want drain water out giving

Hi Error code e20 means a clogged drain pump. This might have happened due to small clips, pins, coins, etc being stuck in the pump. Please note that error e20 can also occur when the drain pump is not pumping fast enough or when the pump fails. To fix the issue you'll need to check the drain pump.Remove the 2 screws from the bottom of the front access panel, it will come off. Now check for the pump on the right side and remove hoses from it. Remove pump from machine then remove whatever is there in the pump. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

It appears we have a problem with the door safety

Hello, welcome to fixya. I`ll start with letting you know the most common reason`s your style of washer ( specifically frigidaire/electrolux built with the lock issue ) will continue to tell you the door is open is a faulty door latch/lock assembly, not the control board. The control can certainly be faulty, but not very likely. The control & latch are communicating the door isn`t locked, hence the lock itself is at fault because as you say the door IS closed. **please unplug the unit from the wall or turn "off" the circuit breaker at the home service panel before attempting any service...safety first.** The original lock assembly for your washer is part # 131763202 and retails for $48.99 at "searspartsdirect.com" or part # 1531974 for $59.70 at "repairclinic.com". They both are one in the same, but repair clinic substitutes the original number to thier own stock number. Let me know how you make out or if you require further assistance. Thank`s for choosing "fixya". Please take a moment and rate the solution provided for you here today. Good luck. macmarkus :)
