It doesn't turn on!
If your Macintosh computer won't turn on, here's how to troubleshoot it. Please keep in mind that although your computer may display similar symptoms that prevent it from showing video, this article discusses what to do if the computer won't turn on, meaning that when you press the power button:
- You don't hear a startup chime
- You don't hear any fan or drive noise
- The power button or power indicator doesn't light up at all
If your computer doesn't display any video, it may display one or more of these similar symptoms when you press the power button:
- You may hear a startup chime
- You may hear fan or drive noise
- You may see the power button or power indicator light up
If any of these conditions occurs, see the
Troubleshooting: My computer has no video article instead.
If your computer won't turn on, try each of these steps:
- Make sure that the power cord is plugged into a working wall outlet, and that it's properly connected to the power adapter. (To check if the wall socket is working, plug in a lamp or other electrical device.)
- Make sure that the power adapter is properly connected to the power port on the back of the computer.
- Disconnect all accessories that are plugged into the computer, such as a printer, hub, or iPod.
- Reset the computer's PMU or PRAM.
- For a portable (iBook or PowerBook), click here for instructions.
- For a Mac mini, click here.
- For an iMac, click here.
- For a Power Mac, click here.
- For a Mac Pro click here.
- For a MacBook or MacBook Pro, click here.
- For any other computer, click here for instructions on resetting the PRAM.
- Try plugging a different power cord into the computer (if you have a working one available). If the computer starts up, replace the old power cord. You can get a replacement cord for some models here.
- If the computer uses a power adapter, try connecting a different power adapter to the computer (if you have a working one available). If the computer starts up, replace the old power adapter. (Computers that use a power adapter include MacBook, MacBook Pro, iBooks, PowerBooks, Power Mac G4 Cube, and Mac mini.)
- If you tried all of the steps above and the computer still won't turn on, contact Apple technical support (1-800-APL-CARE in the U.S.) or take your computer to your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) for diagnosis.

Hi, I just bought a used M-audio Keystation pro
Not sure that this info will be of use to you, and i have not tried this on any keyboard, but i had a similar experience with a scale that has a digital display. When i took the thing apart to change its battery i found that the display was actually like a piece of glass. On one edge was a rubber like strip that was the interface between the display and the circuit board. This piece was not seated well against the display part and so the information from the circuit board was only partially making it to the display causing the same sort of result that you describe that you see with the keyboard. You may be able to open up your board and just fiddle with the parts, put it back together and it might start working for you. I had to sort of shim the display with a thin piece of material to get the display to maintain better contact with the rubber strip part. Hopefully, this info will be useful. Good luck!

Water damage to my m audio axiom 61 key midi
take it apart, wipe up any remaining water and let it air dry for 24hrs. Put it back tgether and see if it works. If it does you're lucky, if not start taking apart your wallet to fix it. HTH.
My USB m-audio keyrig49 stopped working
Check your computer setting - You should check play options or similar. You dont ID the computer nor operating system so it is hard to be more specific.
On my Midi Device with USB connection, I have a choice of Microsoft routine or other routine. When set to Microsoft setting, my midi keyboard works.
I hope this helps you

M-audio pro 88 keyboard
When you turn on your keyboard, you have to make sure that your foot isn't on the pedal because that will cause the notes to be sustained. Just wait until the keyboard is on to push the pedal.
Our praise band keyboard has a key that won't return to the "up" position.
With the "Sing-spiration" only 3 hours away, we, John Cobb (the keyboard player) and I, decided to jump in and find the problem. We removed the covering on the backside, removed the keyboard from the base, and when we saw the bottom of the keys, found a broken counterweight. It was from the mid-G key that wouldn't work. John said he doesn't use the high-G key much, so we took the good counterweight off of high-G and replaced the broken weight. After replacing enough screws to keep the keyboard assembled, John "tested" it for the nites playability. All is great! We'll go to the local music store today and order a new counterweight.
The Sing-spiration was a great success!
