Try preheating the griddle for 5 minutes, then spray a light coat of pam on the hot waffle iron plates, and then add the batter (standard batter should work) (I wouldn't add oil if it's not in the recipe). Good Luck to You with that....

Here is a direct link to the User's Manual for your appliance:

To view the Owner's Manual with Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated and the contents of the Owner's Manual.

You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents.
You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary.
Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your computer.

See page 2 of the manual for detailed operating instructions. Basically they read as follows:

Preparing Waffles

1. Close Waffle Maker and plug into outlet. Use only voltage specified on bottom of Waffle Maker. The Power light (Red) and Ready light (Green) will come on.
Caution: Touch Waffle Maker only by handles during use or directly after use. Take care not to touch hot surfaces.

2. The Waffle Maker is ready for initial use when the Ready (green) light goes out (approximately 2-4 minutes).

3. Open Waffle Maker, pour approximately 3/4 cup waffle batter onto grids. For best results, pour batter around outer edge of waffle maker. Close cover. It is very typical to have a small amount of batter run over grid and down Waffle Maker. However, if an excessive amount of batter runs over, use less batter.

4. Close the Waffle Maker by lowering the upper plate onto the lower plate and secure with the safety latch. Do not open cover while steam is escaping. Most waffles bake in approximately 2-4 minutes, depending on personal taste. Waffles are generally done when the Ready light (green) goes out and when steam no longer escapes from sides and front of Waffle Maker.

5. When waffles are done, remove with a fork or wooden tongs. Note: Be careful you do not scratch the non-stick cooking surface.

6. Close cover and wait for Ready light to go out before preparing another batch of waffles. The next waffle may be baked in less time because the plate will store heat.

I hope that was helpful to you, good luck and take care.

Joe.

Hallo, I need a manual for a sunbeam smo-30s . Thx

I'd be happy to help you find a manual for your Sunbeam SMO-30S. You can try the following steps:
  1. Check the Sunbeam website, they may have a manual available for download.
  2. Contact Sunbeam directly and ask if they can provide you with a manual for the SMO-30S.
  3. Check online retailers such as Amazon or eBay if they have the manual for purchase.
  4. Look for user manual or instruction manual on third-party websites such as Manualslib, Retrevo, or Schematics Unlimited
  5. Check with the company where you purchased the SMO-30S to see if they can provide you with the manual.
  6. If you still can't find the manual, you may want to try searching for "Sunbeam SMO-30S manual" on a search engine like Google.
It's important to use the correct manual for your specific model and version of the SMO-30S, so be sure to double-check the model number before downloading or purchasing a manual. I hope that this information is helpful and please let me know if you have any other question.

Sunbeam Bread Maker 5891 Won't Start - Replaced the Belt

If the bread maker's kneader still won't turn after replacing the belt, it is possible that the issue may be with the motor or the circuit board. To troubleshoot the problem, you could try the following steps:
  • Check the motor to see if it is functioning properly. You can do this by removing the motor and testing it with a multimeter to see if it is producing the appropriate amount of electrical current. If the motor is not functioning properly, it may need to be replaced.
  • Check the circuit board for any visible signs of damage or malfunction. You can do this by removing the circuit board and inspecting it carefully for any burnt or damaged components. If the circuit board appears to be damaged, it may need to be replaced.
  • Check the thermal fuse to see if it is functioning properly. The thermal fuse is a safety device that is designed to protect the bread maker from overheating. To test the thermal fuse, you can use a multimeter to check for continuity across the fuse. If the fuse is not functioning properly, it may need to be replaced.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be time to throw in the towel and consider replacing the bread maker. It is also possible that there may be other underlying issues with the bread maker that cannot be easily identified or resolved, in which case it may be more practical to purchase a new bread maker.

Hi, I've got Sunbeam Deluxe Bread and Dough Model 5842 (I know its older type, but it wasn't used) I used it and when I wanted to use it for second time it isn't kneading at all. Thank you.

Can you hear the motor running when it is supposed to knead. They are belt driven in the base. The long storage may have caused the belt to perish and break. See if you can get the base off? Unfortunately, with some you have to use a can opener or a Dremel tool to get in,.
