Most have a compression fitting at the solenoid Turn power off (the soleniod may become engerized ) , turn water off, remove fitting compresion ring the is on the tubing that goes into the solenoid with saw or small pipe cutter, turn power on , go to Lowes/Home Depot and get another compression ring (maybe 2 or 3, they are cheap) ,
Turn power off, install new ring on tubing, turn water on ..check for leak, turn power back on.

Your problem is probably a faulty solinoid switch, or a clogged filter.
Check to see if you have a filter on the back of the refrig, also check to see if it is located in the area of the motor. If not then your problem will be the solinoid...either try to take it apart if your mechanically inclined, or replace it with a new one.
That should solve your problem

It usually takes about 24 hours to send the first batch of ice through on a new install. Evin if it is an old unit that has been moved. Be sure that the switch is in the on position on the ice maker itself. Hope this is helpful. Good luck.

Hot refrigerator door jamb
This may be part of your energy saver. The opening around the door will be warm, but not hot to touch, to prevent condensation from forming during humid weather. If you have a switch in the frig marked energy saver, switch it to off, check to see if the frame cools. This feature is automatic in some makes and models and there isn't a control. If no condensation forms when it is switched off, it is not necessary to run the energy saver. Check the owners manual, if one is available, for information on your particular model.

The external filter was replaced, and water tastes
Check to see if the filter is in backwards. Try purging it too. Just keep running the water for a couple of minutes to see if the taste improves. If it doesn't and the filter isn't on backwards then get a new filter, that one is bad.

Clicking sound
If you have a water filter on the unit, it's plugged and needs replaced. If you don't, shame on you! Other causes could be, where ever the water line was tapped from, the valve could be clogging. The "clicking" you're hearing is the water solenoid valve. That valve may be getting plugged up or the solenoid may be going bad.If the unit has a water regulator on it, it may be clogged up or going bad.
These problems will effect the ice machine and the ice machine will cause these problems as well. If you've made certain that the water pressure to the unit is okay, the cause is internal and may require a technician to solve.

Icemaker is very slow in putting out ice
Remove the front kickplate and clean your coils (only what you can see) .Also check your settings .An icemaker harvests (operates) at 5 degrees . Operates doesn't look like it's spelled correctly , but you get the meaning .

Filter replacement
Your manual should have directions, but I did find one typo on the first effort. I also can't twist it the quarter turn by hand, so I do use pliers. It should just slide out if you have turned it sufficiently. The typo I found said that after installing the new filter, "press the button 5 times" - it should have said "press the button for 5 seconds" to turn the light to green again. Hope this helps. I did find customer service personnel to be friendly and helpful.

Excessive moisture on ref compartment
Make sure the door seals are in good condition. If the doors do not close and seal properly it will cause moisture to be brought inside the refrigerator and condensate will form. The refrigerator should not be level like you would want. It should have the front leaning back a little to the back wall to keep the doors from opening when you close them. Let me know if this help you, Thanks, Sea Breeze
