Most likely the emitter and receiver in opposite sides of freezer door opening near top is defective. That is the shut off for the ice maker.

Please check the cooling gas and the compressor as it is cutting out too often. You have to take the help of a technician.

go behind the fridge where the water comes into it. the hose should go into a valve. if you have water and ice in door. there will be two hoses coming out the other side. what I did was find the hose that goes up to the ice maker and unhook it and there was no water coming out while it was trying to make ice. that valve is replaceable and are even on ebay. on mine the water worked in the front door, but ice maker did not. I think the valve is common problem.

The water inlet valve is bad . Also check the tube going to the icemaker inside , to see if it is frozen as this is also caused by a bad water valve ( the piece which the wall water line connects to on the refrig .)

remove bin and all ice. clean out bin with warm water as it is not shifting ...jambed with ice/snow

7 is coldest. but how cold is the freezer? all cold is made in freezer. ma be developing a frose problem

Make sure the vents from the freezer to the fridge are not blocked by ice etc. One is at the bottom and one at the top. The on at the top is adjusted open or closed when you adjust the fridge temp. Make sure it's working. Also make sure the fan in the freezer is circulating the air from the freezer through the vent at the top.
