My fridge is leaking because the drip pan is
I had this problem and it turns out that the filter cartridge had a leak and a constant drip into the drip pan. The drip pan is designed to capture the runoff from the self defrost but not a constant drip. The first thing you should do is remove your water filter cartridge - this will stop the drip until you can get a new cartridge. If that doesn't work just turn the water supply to the fridge off. You won't have ice but you won't have a leaky fridge either.

I have a Kenmore side by side refer, model#
I believe the heater element beneath the ice maker is burned out. It always comes on just before the ice maker dumps the ice into the tray/storage. The parts are available but the problem is it will cost half as much to replace the parts as it would to replace it with a new one. If you want to do this I will help you so please let me know. Or if you need help in finding the problem I will help you. Just tell me what you would like to do. Thanks, Sea Breeze

Ice maker won't make ice
The water valve has 2 solenoids one for water and another for ice. The water solenoid is connected to a larger hose than the icemaker solenoid. The water solenoid is working but the Ice maker solenoid might be dead. BUT the ice maker might not be calling for water. It is the ice maker that powers up the solenoid to fill the ice mold. At the end of harvest a tiny copper plate mounted behind the main drive gear rubs across a copper contact. To tweek the amount of water a small screw is mount at the 3 oclock position of the ice maker head.

Stripe between fridge and freezer is extremely hot to touch
It is 100% the condensor fan motor on the back. Its not two hard to replace. Take the screws off the back panel and remove. Then locate fan. Disconnect the wires going to the motor and then unscrew the scews that mount the motor. Take the part to parts store of look it up online. Then simply remount motor and plug wires in.

Refrigerator will not cool
You have an auto-defrost issue. Cooling the fridg side comes from the freezer side. If you see frost on the inside back of the freezer side, it's clogging the cooling vent to the fridge side. You need to have the defrost parts replaced. Parts cost less than $50. Installation is around $250.

Ice Maker Overfills With Water
Ice maker has adjustment on right side of power head. If ice maker is inside on upper left, you can remove white cover from it and the adjusting screw in on right. Turning counter-clockwise will decrease fill by 1/2 to 3/4 of ounce. Sounds like a small amount, but ice make only uses 4 ounces per fill. If this does not fix, try replacing fill valve. If ice maker ice bin is in the freezer door, you have to remove cover to ice maker in the top of freezer. Ice maker is screwed into top of freezer and need to be removed to take off cover to adjuster screw. same procedure for reducing water flow time as above.

Only crushed ice comes out of dispenser
your model # is incomplete but here it goes.
1.take your ice container out and run hot water thru it. you want to defrost all of the ice build up inside of it's housing.
2. make sure the long lever under the container moves up & down when you press on it.
3.w/the container removed, you will see a fork like object and next to it amn openning w/a small plastic square part inside. make sure that part moves freely up & down. that solenoid is what gives cubed ice.
let's start there first
