Hello Dr. Bankert and thank you for contacting Fixya, I will be glad to assist you. What you need to do is turn off a setting within the
System Preferences > Universal Access feature within your Power Mac G5.To do this, you need to click on the Apple menu icon, located in the upper left corner of your screen. When you do click on that menu icon select System Preferences from the drop down menu:
Then go into
System Preferences and look for the pane (icon) entitled
Universal Access • Click on the Universal Access and you will see this view:
Under the
Seeing tab, make sure
Zoom is turned to
OffThis should bring your enlarged screen back to its normal size. You can now also click the Show All button located at the top of that window (on the left side) to return back to
System Preferences main window. From within System Preferences, select
Displays and try selecting a lower resolution like 1280 x 1024 or 1024 x768 for example and see if selecting one of those resolution settings helps to reduce the size of your display window. Please let me know if any of these simple recommended steps help.If you have more questions, I will be glad to assist you further.Regards,-The MacTechTrainer
