it sounds like its being a webcam.on the camera press the PLAYBACK button/switch so its not a camera anymore

Apple Pages has a few bugs like this. There is a work around.

1. Save to Desktop or Documents folder on the System Drive
2. In Finder, move the file to your external drive.
3. Now when you open the file from your external any saves will continue to go to your external drive.

right click on the image file in the finder (not in iphoto) select "copy image" go to sandisk in the finder right click and "paste image" into sandisk.
