Nikon D200 Digital Camera With 18-135MM Questions & Answers
Hi, my Nikon D200 has a blank screen. If I go to
There are a couple ways you can bring this back to "normal" one is called a two button reset. The Two Button Rest is where you press the "Qual" and the +/- buttons for a few seconds and the camera LCD panels go dark might blink then come back on to the original settings.
Here is a diagram to show you what it is I'm talking about.

Now if someone has really messed up things you can do a "Custom Reset" it's a little more complicated but actually the one I prefer as it brings the whole system back to factory default. You might want to do the two button reset first before this.

Doing both will bring the camera completely back to factory defaults if this doesn't solve the problem then the camera is a little bit further out of tune and mat need to visit the service department.
Shutters lags for 1-2 seconds then takes picture.
Does it still lag with the use of the flash?
Not sure this is a camera issue because I dont know the level of expertise you have with the functions of your camera or your knowledge of photography. So no insult intended...If your in low light or indoors, try using the flash or change to a higher ISO.
Does this help?
I have a nikon d200, lately the shutter lags 1-2 seconds.
It is probably delaying while it autofocuses. If it is like most Canon cameras, depressing the shutter half-way should allow you to focus without taking a picture, then when the moment is right, depress the shutter button fully to take the shot. You will want to practice this a bit to get used to it. Shooting in low-light it can take longer to find the focus, so it becomes more necessary to use this technique.
Hopefully that helps, but I am not a Nikon user.
Trouble shooting in auto focus
Maje sure you lens it not set to manual focus and that the lens is mounted correctly. Also - FWIW - shoot with a fast shutter speed (1/250 or better) to avoid blur.
Autofocus not working
Have you tried to see if you camera is running the latest firmware? If its not update it.
Nikon Teleconverter
You could probably use either a 1.4 x or a 2 x, depending on how much you wanted to increase the focal length of your lens. A 1.4 x would give you a range of 98-420, a 2 x would give you a range of 140-600.
Having said that, teleconverters are not usually recommended for use with zoom lenses, and you would lose one stop with the 1.4 x, two stops with the 2 x, thus necessitating longer exposures. Also, with the increase in focal length comes an increased probability of camera shake being more apparent, due to the increased magnification. In your position, I would attempt to get closer to the subject, using a teleconverter as a last resort if this is not possible.
My Nikon D3200 says shutter error can I fix this issue myself?
hi,
did you charge your battery full ? if the battery is not charged enough, it will not drive the shutter opener motor perfectly, and if any type of dirt or friction on the shutter drive gears this will happen, please check the shutter movement by removing the lens.
