Mountain Buggy Urban Elite Double Stroller Questions & Answers
My front wheel piece came off how do i get a new
I called them and they told me the nut you can get at any hardware store. I tried. It's not easy. If you find one please let me know. The plastic cap. You can buy that from mountain buggy for $0.99.
I have a mountain buggy that needs repairing
There is an official Mount Buggy Spare Parts supplier and service agent based in Sydney, Australia called Karlisles. I'm not sure which country you are in.
In case it helps their details are:
www.karlisles.com.au
1300 308 435
Alternatively, a good bicycle shop in your local city can usually supply these parts and service jogging prams.
Hope this helps
The brake has broken on our double buggy
We had the same problem!!! Unless you have a receipt the company will not stand behind their product. You can ship it to their main office and it will be fixed but they'll charge you for the shipping, part and labor -- not worth it. I'll never recommend this stroller to anyone -- it such a cheap brake design for a $700 stroller. Disgusting.
How do you collapse the buggy?
Hi,
At the footplate, either side there is a black plastic button. These buttons are pulled up and the pram will collapse. Keep the wheels on swivel mode so that they tuck neatly underneath and then move the handle bar to it's lowest height, then the pram will fit neatly into your boot.
I hope this helps.
Urban elite 2006
My urban elite stroller brake seems to tighten, resulting in the extreme difficulty to flip the break up. I noticed that adjusting the wheel further from the axel helps loosen up the brake. I'm wondering though if there is a better fix to this problem.
How do I tighten the wheel assembly on a 2005-07 Mountain Buggy Urban Jungle Double stroller?
This is a press or pound on type nut usually a one time use! But if you are carefull you can unscrew with a pair of plyers by turning both ways but pulling hard on them! Once you get it off you can put washers on the axle to take up the play. Then before you put the press nut back on make sure you didn't bend up the little pieces of the metal. They should be bairly slanting to the inside of the nut. If they are slanting to the out side bend them in gently. them tap the nut back on!
The plastic joint that attaches
Not really as its properly attached to prevent it coming off by accident.
Contact them don't disclose about it being bounced about tell them they need to honour the warranty unless they can prove you did damaged it and it just didn't break because of a manufacture problem. But the cost it would take and time to determine what actually failed on it would be too much they would just agree to honour warranty
Don't back down on first phone call keep calling until you get some answers..
