I have a memorex travel drive 2GB and can not
I'm assuming you're using Windows ... the Travel Drive is simply a USB storage device. If you boot up Windows, log on, then insert the drive, it will show up as an exra drive in "My Computer". You can start up Windows Explorer and drag and drop files onto the device for storage.

Memorex mmp8585c problem :
I would suggest you to connect the player to another USB ports and
computer if possible. Make sure the USB cable is properly connected to the
port. If you get the same results, the player is probably no longer
able to connect to the computer.
This product has a 90 day warranty from the purchase date. You can try
taking it back to the store or contacting Memorex at 1-877-363-6673.

Device cannot start (code 10)
- Select start > run
- type "regedit" in the Open box and click OK
- right click on KEY "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlset\Control\Class and select {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} - THIS APPEARS AS A FOLDER and select export
- type CDDVDkey.reg in the "file name" box and save to the desktop
- in the right window pane of the registry editor .. delete the upper and lower filters keys and close the registry window and reboot windows
- when windows reboots it will find the new hardware and install its native drivers and all should be good
let me know how this goes

Device Manager says ok but can not open
Open Windows Help and Support.
Search for "assign drive letter".
Make sure the drive is using a drive letter that is already in use on your computer.
I hope this helps.

Do I need a new driver to use Memorex DVD-R 16X on
Hey Bob if your Samsung is a CD-R/W burner and not a DVD burner then you will not be able to burn the DVD's you will need to upgrade to a DVD Burner, also with the CD's you will need to check that your CD burner is compatible with that type of disc,
