I am assuming you got the phone from either online or calling them directly, there is usually a peice of paper stating what you have to do, if not. Try dialing *22899 if that doesn't work then call up customer care they will be able to solve that for you with no problem

the button is probably dirty inside the phone. I had a razr that had that problem BAD... I had to rebuild it several times. The last time I did it I spent ten hours, and when I was done it was so loud that I had the volume less than half and when it rang my wife and I both jumped off the couch.... I had problems with the volume buttons on the side as well.

The reason your phone isnt ringing out is because the speaker of your phone is faulty.

The sounds made by your phone(including the ringing tone) is heard through the speaker and once it is faulty,you will not hear any sound coming from your phone.

The only solution is to have your speaker replaced.

the easiest way to find out if it is a malfunction or a setting problem ...just get the battery out ...this should reset this kinda settings and get it back ...if it still goes on with this problem it may be a malfunction ...
anyway ..just try ..this trick will work if your phone do not have a internal power supply ..I mean if it do not remember the time when you take the battery out ...if it do not work cause it remembers the settings ...let me know the model and number to search for the model and see what settings may been made and force it to behave like this ...
But , first get that battery out for a minute and put it back on and see what happen ...

i just tried both of these-- the hydrogen peroxide and shoving the battery up closer to the prongs... worked wonders!!! fixed completely!! thank you!

all you need to do is to remove the battery from the phone, insert it back and plug in the charger while the phone is off. If the phone does not charge, still leave it as the charging will still pick up. The phone battery must have been very weak and cannot pick up immediately until after a while.

But if you leave the charger in the phone for an hour or two and phone did not still charge, then this means the battery is very weak. Get a desktop charger to wake the phone, after that, you can now continue using your charger to charge the phone.

You can do all these, only if phone does not come on or charge after removing and fixing back the battery.

You have to call the cell service provider and they can unlock it or will have to send you a new SIM for a small fee.

There are 3 solutions to your problem.
1) You need to replace your phone's battery, or
2) You need to replace your charger. (If you have a car charger, try it to determine if your home charger is the problem) or
3) you need to have the charging plug on your phone repaired; it will need to be sent in for service.

The trick is NOT to use the "settings" menu, but instead press the volume button (on the left side of the phone's body) up, until you get into the "volume" mode and out of the "vibrate only" mode. then you can set the volume however high you want it.

You need to call your provider there may be an unlock code that they can give you. If not you may need a new phone.

when you are on a call, you should see the word mute on the bottom left or right of the screen, press the button below the word mute to mute and again to unmute

on the options menu for the alarms instead of clicking to reset a single alarm you must reset all alarms at once.. worked on mine anyway.. wish you luck
